3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Brilliant clear golden with a thin and sticky white head. Dank nose with a earthy, leafy, cannabis-ish nose with a fair dose of grapefruit rind. Big leafy and dank flavor with a little cracker backbone and a bitter somewhat citrusy tone. It ends a bit malty and crackery with a pleasing leafy/floral hop finish. Pretty nice as it warms. A bit bitter but complex

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
[3/2/15] Draught at Fremont Brewing in Seattle. Clear golden. Aroma of “green” hops, fruity and piney, with a light oniony note. Flavor has some chewy sweetish malt, “green” piney and fruity hops with a nice citric touch, and a bitter finish. Medium-bodied. Nice stuff.

On draft at the brewery. Pours a golden orange color, with a slight haze, and a white head. Citrusy, caramel, pine, moderate sweetness, pineapple, bread, and some bitterness. Decent, but overall just another standard IPA.

4.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Bottled on 08.21.14.
Poured from a bomber into a tulip on 10.07.14.
A: Grapefruit and pineapple.
A: 3 1/2 finger head with an easy pour. See through golden orange body.
T: Pineapple dominates. Honey, graham cracker, grapefruit, and orange are subtle.
P: Creamy. Crisp on the back end. Light to medium mouthfeel.
O: This one is very juicy. It’s a pineapple and honey bomb. It’s fantastic on its own, but it’s also interesting to try when Fremont puts it through a Randall.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
UPDATED: DEC 24, 2014 Bottle. Strong American hop nose showing the apricot and orange marmalade signature of Cascade and Centennial, but also showing an unpleasant brined lemon / catty pet urine quality that I find most often in Simcoe and Citra. Grassy and raw mixed with lemon peel and green onion sharpness. Malt seemingly transparent in the nose. Sweat / burnt butter aroma suggest diacetyl. Medium body, sweet and juicy and oily in the mouth with relatively low bitterness. Candy-like dried pineapple slices and a dose of garlic butter in the finish. It almost works, but lower the sweetness, find some fresher hops and check for diacetyl.
