Solid malt forward IPA, with a nice touch of sweetness. Bitter, but mildly so.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bomber that I have no idea where from. A copper beer that has quite a bit of carbonation floating up. An off white head that is fluffy and has good retention. A pleasant citrus aroma is classic west coast IPA. The flavor is also citrus with a little pine and tropical fruit. Moderate bitterness. Malts are a little different and are caramel. A nice classic version.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at the Seatac Seattle Taproom.
Amber pour, modest white head, good lacing. Spicy, floral hop nose. Citrus peel and pith drive the aroma, ample pine -- this is a classic c-hop profile. At 6.5% I wouldn’t call it a session beer -- maybe a PacNW session beer at best -- but it’s enjoyable enough to drink if now special enough to stand out from the day-to-day crowd of literally hundreds of c-hopped PacNW IPAs.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Reviewed from notes.
The appearance had a light hazy yellow somewhat golden color; light carbonation is seen rising, half fingered white foamy head slowly dies and leaves a decent amount of clingy lacing.
The smell had some light bitter hops - somewhat citrusy yet smooth; malts do present themselves fairly well.
The taste was a bittersweet througth the malts and hops, combined nicely, light malty sweet citrusy aftertastek quick dry finish.
On the palate, it sat at/about a light to medium on the body, somewhat sessionable. Carbonation is good for the style and for me.
Overall, this was a good AIPA that I would have again.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
A nice discovery while in Seattle this winter. Paired perfectly with Dungenes crab cakes and green curry mussels. A nice, well-hopped IPA. Not overwhelmingly bitter but not at all sweet/malty. Wish I could find a 6-pack in VT.

Grapefruit/lemony hop aroma and flavor, and light bready malt character. Tasty bitterness--more in the aftertaste.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle, shared with Parksy and Grippitis. Hazy orange-gold body, thick creamy head. Aroma is sweet pine needles and grapefruit rind. Piney hops really kick you in the mouth, resinous anda lite spicy, ending with a minty note. Nice medium-sweet malts. Long bitterness. Awesome!

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Arrives from the tap with a 1/2-finger thick, light tan colored head. The beer is an amber color that shows a clear, copper-amber hue when held up to the light. The aroma smells of ruby-red grapefruit zest, ripe tangelos, backing notes of peppery pine, and a bit of herbaceousness that perhaps has some hemp like notes to it. The malt provides some whole grain cracker like aromatics and a bit of dried straw to the aroma.
The beer has a solid bitterness that is pretty well balanced by a chewy, but not overly intrusive malt character. The malt provides a a soft, creamy texture to the body and there is a bit of offsetting prickly carbonation. Hop flavors of course dominate with notes of bitter grapefruit zest, peppery herbal notes, lots of pine, light lychee, tangelo zest, perhaps a touch of kumquat, and some floral, peach-leaning notes.
This is a solid IPA, nothing crazy, and in truth the malt character is a bit more than I would usueally like, but the beer is just well done and ballanced for an IPA, and I find I am enjoying this more than I would have expected.
