Our Imperial Oatmeal Stout aged in 15 year old single use Kentucky Bourbon Barrels. The roasted and chocolate malts compliment the smooth oats to bring you a stout delight wrapped in gentle embrace of Bourbon Barrel aged warmth. A touch of sweetness dances in balance with the hops to finish with a wave and then she’s gone.

Down & Dirty: 2-Row, Roast Barley, Crystal-60, Chocolate, & Carafa-2 malts with Flaked Oats and Magnum, Wilamette & Cascade hops. 9.5% ABV

2013 - wow this stuff is awesome. Never had an oatmeal stout with this much body. Lots of chocolate, fudge, vanilla, and somewhat even keel on the barrel. Extremely smooth and well balanced. Very well crafted.

Finally I got to try this. Thanks to 50belair for sharing at Pegs. Pours a nice dark brown color with a medium brown head. Nice bourbon and vanilla notes, some fudge, roasted malt, well crafted and well barreled. Nice stuff!

Bottle shared at Peg’s. Dark brown pour. Dark roasted malts, chocolate, and caramel notes. Mellow bourbon, oak, and vanilla low lights. Good body and mouthfeel. Another solid ale from the Fremont crew.

2013 Bottle, can’t remember from whom (IP Seattle) but greatly appreciated. Black with a generous brown head that fades to pretty much nothing. This was enjoyed over an hour or two so had lots of time to develop and open up. Huge amount of bourbon with vanilla and oak up front, burnt malt, bittersweet chocolate, a touch of salt. Silky and full body, mild carbonation, fresh, sticky, quite tasty.

Bottle: Thanks, Kevin! Dark, but not quite black as there are some notable shades of brown; creamy, tan head settles quickly to a thin collar around the edges. Aroma filled with slick milk chocolates, light coffee, warming bourbon, reminders of Kahlua & Creme, & a touch of vanilla in the back-end. Taste is very smooth, never hot, though the bourbon certainly warms the throat & belly just a bit. Oak, milky cocoa nibs, smooth oatmeal, hint of earth, & a chocolate cake-like aftertaste. I was expecting a pretty rough, hardened bourbon bomb, but this beer actually makes for a fairly decadent dessert beer. Sweet, not overly so, & balanced well by the bourbon heat & barrel treatment. Very nice.

From notes. Bottle share courtesy of Bytemesis. Thank you! Rich, roasted malt, vanilla, coconut, dry coco and brownie. Alcohol is a bit hot at this time.. and needs time to integrate. In comparison, drier and hotter then B- Bomb. --- tasted while on a long journey to understand the world around me...

Pitch black, not much head, sticky on the glass though. Rich figs, almond, chocolate, some roast, wood. Alcohol shows up in the flavor, cherry, coconut, dark roast, ash. Very similar to abominable but less alcohol edge and more char.

65cl, Vintage 2013, as Bourbon Barrel Aged Dark Star, new exclusive American brew Anno 2011, from De Bierkoning Amsterdam, very complex Stout, roasted/alcoholic and slightly spicy/woody, yet not too heavy, balanced, hazy, nearly no head, very good brew, yet very expensive!

Bottle shared by Jeff. There is bourbon but it is not overpowering, and the other flavors and aromas are still there. Heavily roasted malt and some hops also. Thick palate. Good.
