Oaky nose, slight tannins perhaps a hint of light tartness. Sweet stout base, roasty with notes of chocolate and oats also. Pours black with a thin tan head. The flavor is a mix of roasted malts, chocolate, smooth oat notes, earthy wood, lightly tart from the wood. Creamy, but dry. A decent treatment on the original.
