COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We are a small, family-owned microbrewery founded in 2009 to brew small-batch artisan beers with the best local ingredients we can find. Located in the historic neighborhood of Fremont, we invented the Bro Hug, the Triple ripple and Extreme Water before deciding to make beer. We dedicate this beer to you, Washington Beer Fan, for embracing adventure, creativity, facial hair, and the skilled craft people of our industry above all. Seattle Beer Week’s (SBW) 5th Anniversary Beer is a testament to the passion and vision of the founders. This organic session pale ale is made exclusively with Cowiche Canyon Citra and Simcoe hops grown in partnership with the Carpenter and Britt families and Yakima Chief in the Yakima Valley of eastern Washington to promote the organic hop industry in Washington State ... Because Organic Hops Matter ... Thank You, Seattle Beer Week and Thank You, Washington Beer Lover! "Hey, it’s better in the can." - V.W.P.

(12oz can, courtesy of Mora2000) Pours a clear yellow body with a tall foamy white head. Aroma of grapefruit, pineapple, florals, and biscuit. Flavor of biscuit, pineapple, citrus, light pine, and caramel with a moderately dry finish.

Can from Malt & Vine. Pours translucent gold with a foamy white head. Aroma of green grassy/herby hops. Med + body. Flavor is herb/grass over pale malt. This is a light beer, carbohydrate wise, but pretty heavy on the hop. Which seems to be a mix of pine and citrus after thinking about it. No real hop burn, but there seems to be a hoppy oiliness in the mouth. It cannot be, but I’ll posit this is as hoppy as many DIPAs and more than many IPAs. Amazing for such a low ABV ale.

12 oz. can, courtesy of Prufrockstar (thanks a lot, Chris), pours a cloudy orange-tinted yellow with a medium white head. Aroma brings out loads of floral hops, light tropical fruits, and zesty citrus. Flavour is rather dry, with dry floral hops, biscuity malt, and some citrus. Not the most exciting or pronounced flavours, but well-balanced and dry. Solid stuff.

Can:   Pale golden, vibrant, moderate frothy white head, nice lacing.   Soft citrus peel, pith, and bright straw on the nose.   Moderate bitterness on the tongue.   Pith and peel.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Bright hoppy finish, also with straw and hay.   Good balance, not dull, and not overly hopped.   Solid example of an American Pale Ale.

12-oz can. Pours a hazy medium amber with a gigantic white sudsy head. Big fresh pine and a bit of grapefruit on the nose. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Toasty light caramel with pine and grapefruit on the mid palate. Long dry finish. Very nice.

can from Lets Pour, pale golden straw color. one finger head and decent lacing. hop forward aroma 7+, lots of lemon peel & pith. Citrus hop flavor, citrus zest, pith, lemon, grapefruit & orange notes. Quite bitter @ 4.5%, tastes like a much higher ABV APA. Pretty good

Thanks to 5000 for sending me this can. It is being reviewed from notes and was drank fresh. Yellow pour with a white head. The aroma has some strong pine, pineapple and biscuit malt notes. The flavor is full of pine, biscuit malt, orange citrus and some low bitterness. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Whatever. 4.5% with great flavor. Not rare enough to achieve a high score i guess. Remember the Hill Farmstead boners at the last tasting? This is better and easier to get. Anyways... Nose of citrus, a little crackery malt, grass, touch of dank. Clean and hoppy nose. Very nice. Pours golden, nice clarity, thin whispy head, soft lace. Flavors of crackery dry malt with a good dose of citrus dank and grass. Chewy hop finish. Dry quenching with lingering citrus notes. Nice carbonation. Great refesher.

(12oz can thanks to Mora2000) clear bright light gold, lasting fizzy white head. Nose of peach, apricot, tropical, mango, very light onion. Taste of pale grain, medium amount of hoppiness, orange pulp, lightly bitter body, despite my low rating I’m a fan.

Pale yellow in color, clear with a thin head. Super flavor and a nice hoppy flavor and finish. Very good Pale ale.
