COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We are a small, family-owned microbrewery founded in 2009 to brew small-batch artisan beers with the best local ingredients we can find. Located in the historic neighborhood of Fremont, we invented the Bro Hug, the Triple ripple and Extreme Water before deciding to make beer. We dedicate this beer to you, Washington Beer Fan, for embracing adventure, creativity, facial hair, and the skilled craft people of our industry above all. Seattle Beer Week’s (SBW) 5th Anniversary Beer is a testament to the passion and vision of the founders. This organic session pale ale is made exclusively with Cowiche Canyon Citra and Simcoe hops grown in partnership with the Carpenter and Britt families and Yakima Chief in the Yakima Valley of eastern Washington to promote the organic hop industry in Washington State ... Because Organic Hops Matter ... Thank You, Seattle Beer Week and Thank You, Washington Beer Lover! "Hey, it’s better in the can." - V.W.P.

Old rating. This was a good, solid, afternoon pale ale. Biscuit mailts and a crisp hop bite to balance -- just the right recipe for Beer Week.

Can. Pours clear, straw colored golden with white head that dissipates fast. Fresh, weedy hop aroma, with tropical citrus, dank, and spicy bread/biscuit. Pizza crust - there’s a smell reminiscent of pizza dough I swear. Taste of grass/hay, wheat, dry graininess, biscuit, cracker. Short finish with crisp, light bitterness to seal the deal. Pretty dry overall. Pizza crust is still there. Lively carbonation, light body, texture a little on the thin side. Overall: Refreshing, thirst-quenching and and drinkable. Nice. Makes me wish I had a lawn to mow.

Can. Light yellow pour with a white head. Bitter hop aromas. Grassy hop notes. Bitter and refreshing. Average mouthfeel and body. Good carbonation. A nice pale ale.

(12oz can thanks to Mora2000) clear bright light gold, lasting fizzy white head. Nose of peach, apricot, tropical, mango, very light onion. Taste of pale grain, medium amount of hoppiness, orange pulp, lightly bitter body, despite my low rating I’m a fan.

Can. Golden pour. Nose mainly of hops, bread, and malt. Taste follows the nose. Semi dry finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Unmarked silver bullet can from Prufrockstar -- thanks!

Gold pour, fluffy white head. Upfront oniony citra aroma with some simcoe tropical fruit in the background, hints of pine. Not a lot of grain presence in the aroma. Flavor follows the aroma, modestly hopped--APA territory-- turning soapy late, cracker malts. Pretty nice for 4.5%, but notably thin on the tongue and a bit prickly.

Can. Recieved as an extra. Pours a clear golden color with a white head. Fruity hop aroma. Medium mouthfeel with carbonation. Nice flavors of peach and apricot. Nice level of bitterness as well that lingers after the initial drink. It’s not bad. Organic too!

Frothy foam head atop a bronzed body. Burst of orange citrus dominates the nose, though some grains eke in. Wonderful freshly milled pale grains dominate the palate with citrus-accented hops lightly playing off of it. A solid pale ale.

12 oz. can, courtesy of Prufrockstar (thanks a lot, Chris), pours a cloudy orange-tinted yellow with a medium white head. Aroma brings out loads of floral hops, light tropical fruits, and zesty citrus. Flavour is rather dry, with dry floral hops, biscuity malt, and some citrus. Not the most exciting or pronounced flavours, but well-balanced and dry. Solid stuff.
