3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tap. Pours a clear bright yellow gold body with a small fizzy white head that faded to a thin film. The nose is light crackery malt with a nice floral hoppiness. The flavor is pretty nice, decent hop flavor without being overly bitter. Very light crackery malt base, lingering floral hops. Light bodied, fizzy, very drinkable, with a nice refreshing hoppy finish. Pretty nice beer, simple and straight forward, more character than I was expecting.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Draught at Chippy’s, 11/7/15.
My first Fremont beer of the trip and near the end of it. Kind of surprised this stuff isn’t more readily available throughout the city.
Gentle haze to this tangerine-colored liquid with a wispy white head that is moderately well-retained.
Cantaloupe, meyer lemon and soft, easygoing floral notes. Bright, unadulterated amarillo, with light honey notes from the pale malts in the background. Very sniffable and fresh with no flaw or alcohol.
Wow, I had no idea what to expect from this, but certainly wasn’t expecting a single-hopped pale ale with this much flavor. Melon and easygoing citrus in the flavor is phenomenally well-done. Very low on the bitterness with no sign of any flaws from old/bad hops. Soft/supple texture shows well-attenuated but still supportive maltiness. Low sweetness, no alcohol or flaw. It’s been a long time since I’ve had a good amarillo hopped beer and I was more than happy to find this. Nothing fancy or flashy here, just well-made. My type of stuff.

Ideaal bier, na een lange roadtrip door de USA. Wel een typische IPA van Amerika.

12 oz can packaged on 7/20/15. Pours hazy golden with a white head. Citrus hops, weed, and cereal grain on the nose. Get a bit of plastic as well. Flavor is also hops, weed, and cereal. Pretty good. Just that the one funny off flavor in the aroma.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
6-pack of 12 oz cans from Bullfrog Wine & Spirits. Clear yellow-gold appearance with a white head. Aroma of citrus fruits, spruce, toasted grains, floral notes, earth, orange peel, light pale malts, bread and light zesty hop spice. Similar flavor, adding a moderate hop bitterness. Average body with a smooth feel and pretty easy to drink. A little bit too bitter to be a good session beer, but still pretty nice overall.
