Beautiful orange color, hazy, with compact head. Very good hopping, harmonious, more fruity than resiny, with a good support from the pale malt base, moderate sweetness, lean body, strong bitterness. Fresh feeling.
Tonight it’s wonderful.

Burnished golden color out of the can with a thin ivory colored head. Nice fresh hop resin and citrus notes in the aroma. Juicy orange peel and candied grapefruit ring citrus flavors with hints of tropical fruit and some pine. There is a strong caramel malt backbone, but his beer is all about the hop juice. Orange marmalade and alcohol. Very nice big hoppy beer.

Can from bytemesis from Chris! Pours orange, goodly amount of foam, started hazy but cleared as it warmed. Passion fruit, guava, earthy, some musk. Bitter flavor (duh), citrus rind, spruce resin. Much better than the sister.

Bottle thanks to michaelinwa. Hazy gold pour with a small head that fades to a messy ring. Aroma is slightly dank. Lots of fresh cut grass, pot, pine, and light citrus. Tastes moderately bitter. Pine comes out the strongest with some dank pot, herbs, and citrus peels. Aftertaste is too herbal for me. Medium to thick body. Stinging carbonation works well here. Pretty good but I wish the aftertaste was a little better.

Can thanks to Chris! Pours hazy butterscotch, large creamy off-white head that dissipates slowly with nice lacing. Aroma is quite floral, with some cat piss, pine and herbal, pottish notes. Flavor is light sweet, medium bitter, herbal, a bit of pot, pine. Medium body. Not really what I expected from a CCC hopped beer.

Nice aroma. Pours a golden/Amber with decent lacing. Nice hop profile and mouthfeel. Really good C hopped IIPA

Another excellent IPA from Fremont Brewing. Unusual, strong, and very pleasant aroma of hops, flora, and citrus. Taste is a bit understated, especially compared to the strong aroma: a little malty, a little orange, not very bitter. Would’ve preferred more hoppiness than maltiness. Smoother finish than other IPAs. Would not have guessed 8.5% without the warmth that builds after a few sips.

Amber pour, half finger white head with good retention and lacing. Unique smell. Almost like a rainy flower garden. There’s a touch of spiciness in there somewhere too, that evokes strong comparisons to calendula in my mind. It just so happens I grew up playing in my mom’s garden and loved eating calendula, so I take that as a good thing. There’s some juicy tropical fruits hiding behind this front. Quite tasty. Not as pronounced or distinct as the nose might lead you to believe. Just enough sweet backbone to support the floral and spicey hops. Spicey bitterness slips for a split second into alcohol before righting the ship and reasserting itself as smoothe and drinkable. Finish is bitter and a bit bready. Crisp and drinkable, as they tend to be. I look down and all of a sudden my glass is almost empty. Nice sweet/bitter lingering. Would love to try it on tap.

Draft at Brewery. Really nice citrus hop aromas. Lots of sweet fresh oranges that taste really good. A little dirty and dry in the finish. This beer is great on draft and just good in the can.

Can from Bob’s.

I know, I know --- what on earth am I doing rating another DIPA? But I much like the brewery and I’ve heard such good things about this one in particular that I needed to try it. The result, while not a disappointment, is not a surprise either. Pretty straight forward c-hop DIPA, tons of pine and a bit of citrus in the aroma, flavor a bit on the sweet side, none of the leafy aromatics of my favorite examples of the style. Perfectly good for what it is, but no better.
