Bottled 24JUN14 Well, I’ve had this one draft before and was very happy with it. This seems like a different beer. Pours a mildly hazed apricot colored ale with a solid creamy top and lace that is just outright tacky. Smells dank, with mostly lots of vienna character, some tea, a little bit of resin - fairly pedestrian. Flavor is bitter with sweet alcohol, plenty malt, and little resin - this must be over the hill (too bad it can’t hold up for 9 weeks. Medium bodied with moderately high carb and a semi dry finish. I am disappoint.

Hazy golden amber color, dense frothy white head. Light citrus, heavier pine, grass, caramel malt, and some herbal undertones. Bitter and maltier than it should be. Soft carb, medium bodied, and resinous. Some booziness in the finish.

Can straight to the dome. Road beer! Huge hoppy aroma - grapefruits, lemons, biscuit, light caramel, light grass, and weed. Taste is big sticky grapefruit skins and oranges, light resin, bread, caramel malt, lemons, and grass with a big bitter finish. Medium body with crisp carbonation. Solid DIPA.

Can sampled at Ryan’s July tasting for Vinny’s departure. Aroma is soft citrus fruits, spicy yeast and malt. Brightly carbonated with notes of floral hop, malt, yeast, spice and light papery character.

UPDATED: AUG 5, 2014 Sampler at brewery. Slick dark golden color. Looks solid, highly, as if lightly carbonated. Long story short the beer is a hybrid of what I would live and not so much. Lots of juicy sweet tropical fruit hops, just as I want and I like. But then an acrid resinous green hop character at both the end of nose and flavor. Really fucks with my buds. Lovely, my type of hoppy beer but then what I don’t like. Slightly thicker slicker feel, understandable for strength. A beer meant for me is hidden in here. Otherwise, becomes a meh beer.

Brilliant DIPA in a can. Wish we could get this down here in Cali. Super on the tropical bit, while retaining sweet and bitter balance in almost perfection. Total hop candy.

From a can pour at the Sierra Nevada beer camp across America. The pour has a fruit and melon aroma with a hazy gold appearance. There was a fruity melon taste with a smooth oily hoppy texture. A great canned beer.

Nice tropical fruit aroma, with light malt: sweet, cereal. Pretty potent tropical fruit hop flavor. Subtle pepper. Pretty sweet--although not cloying, and doesn’t overpower the hops. Also some bready/cereal malt flavor. Moderate, smooth bitterness.
