12 oz can packaged it looks like 7/20/15. Says the IBUs are at 1 billion. Prompts a good laugh. Pours hazy golden with a white head. Good amount of citrus on the nose with some passion fruit/mango notes in there as well. Medium mouthfeel. Bitter flavor with some grapefruit rind and a hint of nail polish. Pretty dry finish. The abv doesn’t show too much. Nice.

UPDATED: AUG 13, 2015 Can from The Beer Shoppe in Yakima. Aroma: Expansive piney and grassy hop and passion fruit plus tropical fruit. Palate: Lively carbonation accentuates the piney hop flavor and bittering without going overboard. Flavor: Pine and grass attack with full on passion fruit, apricot and tropical fruit onslaught. Comment: Big malty body is well matched with the hop flavor bitterness. This succeeds and I prefer it to Fremont’s Pale Ale and IPA which IMO have a few problems.

12 oz can. Pours hazy golden orange with a big creamy white head that retains well and laces the glass.

The aroma is subdued resiny piney hops.

The flavor is sweet bready malts with a little fruit and resiny grassy hops that have a harsh tarry finish. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.

Overall, an OK DIPA. The hop profile is a bit harsh.

On tap at the brewery. Pours amber with an off-white head. Aroma of floral, piney and lightly citrusy hops, some pale and light caramel malts, and some dough. Flavor the same with a nice hoppiness. Average texture. A solid imperial IPA but maybe a little to malty.

Can (12oz #3): Pretty clear golden with big white soapy head. Strong aroma, pineapple, sweetness. Taste is heavy on the malts, medium plus body. pineapple bitterness in the end. I think I like The Sister better.
