Cask @ Brouwer’s Café:   Pale golden, faint haze, moderate to large frothy off-white head, fairly sticky lacing.   Fairly fragrant nose, hops, pine, a little citrus.   Similar tongue, bright but not green.   Very smooth for being 8.5%, almost too smooth!   Not overly abrasive, not a malt bomb, well balanced, but more like a 1¾ IPA.   I will say, that because it is so smooth, clean, and not the biggest IIPA, it would be really easy to drink multiple of these.   Good good, I finished my glass too soon!

22 oz bottle obtained through Tavour. Fremont The Brother is a hazy apple juice beer. Head of tiny white bubbles leaves a nice lace. Aroma is of slight pine and herbal hops. Taste is a restrained hop bite with a decent malt body behind. Texture is lively and a little satiny. A really decent IIPA.

Can. Lovely nose: tons of citrus and stone fruits, orange, grapefruit, apricot, tropical stuff too like mango and pineapple. Pretty, cloudy, bright golden orange. Low head. Very fruity, juicy even, not too sweet or cloying, wiht a grapefruit zest finish. Good bitterness, good balance, great fruit. One of the best d-ipas for me in a while.

Tons of citrus, particularly candied orange peel and tangerine. Slightly sweet, but not overbearing.

Long lasting flavour, bitter but with enough balance. Very enjoyable, it would be full marks if it had more intensity in the nose.

Pale golden orange with a white head. Citrus, light malt sweetness, lemon, and a bit of sugar. Thinner body than I expected aide it’s drinkability- very surprising at 8.5%. Finish is lasting citrus bitterness. Very enjoyable.

Can from Malt & Vine. Pours clear gold with a creamy white head. Earthy citrus aroma. Med body at least. Very hop forward. Quick hop burn. Caramel support is smooth. A hoppy and tasty ale. Finishes a bit fruity; hoppy and bitter. Excellent.

Draught at the brewery, 11/8/15.
Bright orange-golden body is clear and very carbonated, leading to a large white head with moderate retention.
Big fruity nose shows a moderate tropical side that quickly gives way to more ruby red grapefruit, oranges and moderate pine. The citrus/pine character seems to stick, though light touches of mango and melon are still notable even with warming. Hint of caramel, but not too heavy on the specialty malts, thankfully, leaving the hops mostly untouched. Alcohol well-concealed and no flaw in the nose.
Big, bold citrus notes in the flavor are lightly supplemented by pineapple and mango, with just a touch of sourdough from the malt. Quite bitter, but with a lot of hop flavor, as well, somewhat making up for it. Well-carbonated, pretty well-attenuated and with a nearly sticky texture dotted with light graininess. Nothing awe-inspiring or particularly innovative here, but fine and drinkable.

12 oz single can from Molly’s Spirits. Orange and slight hazy appearance with a white head and thick lacing. Aroma of tropical fruits, citrus zest, fresh leafy hops, grass, light floral notes and light herbs. The flavor is medium to heavy hop bitterness and minimal to light malt sweetness. Fairly clean, but almost a little harsh. Medium plus body with a lingering, light dry finish. Solid IIPA overall. Pairing: Phish - Wolfman’s Brother -> Sand, from 09/11/1999, Gorge Amphitheatre, George, WA

Tis poured a lighter orange with a white head. Aroma was resinous and citrusy. Flavor similar, a bit too sweet for my liking, but still a big fresh hop presence and some booze on the finish.
