Cask @ Brouwerís Cafť:   Pale golden, faint haze, moderate to large frothy off-white head, fairly sticky lacing.   Fairly fragrant nose, hops, pine, a little citrus.   Similar tongue, bright but not green.   Very smooth for being 8.5%, almost too smooth!   Not overly abrasive, not a malt bomb, well balanced, but more like a 1ĺ IPA.   I will say, that because it is so smooth, clean, and not the biggest IIPA, it would be really easy to drink multiple of these.   Good good, I finished my glass too soon!

Can from a recent trade. Dull orange color with an off white head. Grapefruit aroma. Tropical fruit and citrus flavors. A little dull on the hop flavor profile. Big body with some caramel malt and sweetness to balance it out. Finish is a little spicey and a little grapefruit bitterness.

Can - Grapefruit, orang and a nice caramel backbone. Clear gold with a rich white head. Grapefruit, orange and a long bitterness that is balanced by caramel. Not bad, the bitter finish is a bit long for my liking though.

22oz bottle. Aroma is dominated by hops. Lots of grapefruit and citrus with moderate amounts of tropical fruit and peaches. Light malt notes in the background. Pours a fairly clear golden orange with a thick, inch tall white head. Pretty good head retention. Above average lacing and medium legs. Flavor has a light, sweet cracker malt character upfront and in the finish. Mid palate is all hops though. Lots of grapefruit and other citrus with moderate tropical and stone fruit notes. Light pine resin character balances all the fruit. High bitterness with lingering resin and grapefruit. Fairly drying finish. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall another great example of a West Coast DIPA. Really bright hop character with assertive bitterness and drying finish. Just enough malt character to add flavor without taking away the hop focus.

Bottle from beer junction. Lots of dank hops. Some non tropical citrus tastes. Upon opening a large amount of head. Good summer beer.

Bomber. Hazy golden orange pour topped with a sudsy layer of off-white head. Hefty presence of tropical fruit, pine resin, mint and cannabis in the aroma. Taste blends leafy hops resin, grapefruit and pineapple upfront along with some lemon peel and pine toward the end. Moderately dense and creamy body with medium carbonation and more resiny hops and citrus rind in the finish. As expected, Fremont delivers a top notch DIPA.

Bottle. Golden pour, big pillowy head, lacing, fantastic fresh hop aroma with big pine notes. Flavor is fairly bitter, oily mouthfeel, plenty of malt. Solid mouthfeel. Lingering, bitter finish. A little aggressive on the bitterness for my tastes, but enjoyable for sure.

I received this in a trade. The date on the bottom of the can says "April 23, 2014." I poured this into a snifter. The appearance was a nice hazy golden amber color with a thin half fingered white foamy head that died within less than thirty seconds. There is a decent foamy white lacing glazing over the sides of the glass and but is mainly fairly thin for the most part. The smell is fairly metallic, (hmmm....Iím guessing these guys - Fremont didnít get the memo on getting the current technology on how to reduce the metallic smell in cans). However and luckily, there is a decent sweet honey citrus smell trying to overcome the metallic-ness of the aroma. The taste still has the metallic, but still has a nice sweet honey citrus flavoring that once again tries to overcome but ends up combining and dulling the flavor just a bit. The aftertaste is everything I previously stated - metallic, honey, and citrus. The finish is dry and citrusy. On the palate, it sits about a medium on the palate with a bland dry dull coating over the mouth and tongue that ends up leading to a fairly sessionable quality but still has a carbonation that helps to keep this beer where it doesnít go entirely down hill. Overall, for the most part, this isnít a bad beer, it just needs to get rid of the metallic smell and taste and this could be a worthy contender for its style.

Wow, this is a damn good surprise. The seattle market is saturated by IPAs and even though i love Fremontís beers i had low expectations. Poured from the can. The tropical citrus aroma just smacks you in the face. I havenít smelled an IPA this good in a long time. Flavor is rich tropical fruits and the perfect malt balance that makes you think youre drinking fruitpunch bubble gum. Huge appreciation for a relatively low abv imperial IPA.

Can. This is a big IPA with lots of hops and sweet malt all around. I get a lot of sweet tropical fruit and berries as well on this one. Blueberry specifically. Maybe some peach and orange. That being said, itís really sweet. Very interesting beer. Hop storm here with a nice, sweeter finish. Very easy drinking. Well done.

Very tasty and pleasant double IPA. Malt flavors are delicately complex with notes of fresh hay, bread dough, earthy honey and light caramel. Hop flavors are very floral with hints of sweet grass and tangerines. Bitterness is very balanced.
