3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
333 c&c from Malt & Vine. Pours dirty dark gold with a 4 finger foamy white head. Light brett aroma with light pitted fruit. Med body or better. It’s earthy and lightly bretty with fruit. Slightly oaky. Better than many saisons.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Orange pour, big giant fluffy white head. Flavor of honey, fresh oak, toothpick, stone fruit. Interesting enough.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle @ What the Funk, October 2014, Denver. Pours a pretty clear orange appearance with a fluffy white head. Pretty high carbonation. Light white wine, blood oranges, funk, some tropical fruits, and white pepper in the flavor. Not super complex but pretty easy to drink. Not bad.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
375mL bottle, courtesy of julian, pours a cloudy golden with a medium white head. Aroma is very yeasty, with lots of brett, moderate funk, a bit of white wine and a slight tang. Flavour is very yeasty and dry, with lots of brett, loads of dry white wine oak barrels and very subtle fruity tang. Very lively carbonation which is suitable for this one. Excellent saison.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
375, corked and really, really tightly baled. Pours a cloudy medium amber with toffee edges and a ridiculously gigantic surging white head. Takes quite a while to pour, got such a head. Big sweet floral and grass nose, showing caramel and chamomile. Creamy medium body with soft carb. Caramel, toffee, and a minty herbal tang. Slightly tart finish. Pretty good. A little too tangy tart to really hold together as a saison, but showing great promise. Looks beautiful in the store and in the glass.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle:   Orangish straw, dirty, vigorous carbonation, sediment whirling about, head frothing over the glass, pillowy and huge.   Pale Chardonnay nose, slightly woody, floral in a candied melon sort of way.   Similar on the tongue, faint popcorn flavor as well.   A little dry, woody, with a touch of pickle on the finish.   Nose makes it seem sweeter than on the tongue.   Tart on the backside.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Perhaps a touch of Brett on the backside.   Finishes like a plain Saison with a little bit of Chardonnay character.   A little barnish after the exit, which is nice.   Decent little beer.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle... Poured pale, orange with a lacy, white head. Some barrel and vinous fruit mixed with oak. The brett dried it out but it really only left a mild off flavor on my palate. Sort of one dimensional.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
375 ml bottle
Thanks to a Seattle trader for sending me this a while back. Sharing the bottle with buffalohead made it a perfect nightcap after a few other brett infused saisons. While not quite as good as the others it was still very drinkable and pleasant. I would not turn down another bottle if offered.
Aroma / Appearance - A hyperactive stream of carbonation almost looks like a glass of champagne except for the fluffy white head. Vanilla cream soda and oak are positives; the mild vegetatal texture is not. Even so it balances out into a fine nose.
Flavor / Palate - Creamy ginger ale tickles the tongue. Transforming into a smooth cream soda it then takes on more oakiness as the mouthfeel thickens. A bit of a diamond in the rough, this beer has enough positive aspects to be recommended if you want to drink local and live on the upper West Coast. I would certainly be willing to sample a few more Fremont beers to see if they are all consistently this good.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
UPDATED: AUG 18, 2013 Bottle at home. Pour is clear orange with a big white was and good lacing. Bretty, pineapple, heavy pepper, oranges, doughy, grassy biscuity, and vegetal aroma. Taste is heavy orange peels and spice, doughy, bready, light brett, floral, plastic, and chalky. Way over carbonated with a light mouthfeel. I love wine-barrel aged saisons, but this was definitely a letdown.
