COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Family always comes first. Just when you thought that your poor tongue couldn’t stand any more humulus lupulus, The Sister comes home to prove you wrong. Using the same unbreakable malt backbone of The Brother to balance out a truckload of Calypso and Bravo hops, The Sister weighs in at approximately a billion IBUs.

Down & Dirty: 2-Row, Wheat, Vienna & Dextrapils malts with Amarillo, Columbus, Cascade, Chinook, Calypso & Bravo hops. 8.5% ABV

Bomber. Slightly cloudy copper with full white head. Aroma is dominated by piney hops. Flavor is quite piney and some citrus orange flavors. Fairly full bodied. I prefer The Brother but this still quite good.

Can (12oz $2.75): Golden with big white head that fades slowly with nice lacing. Huge citrus aroma. Tastes is some sweetness up front then some bitterness. Very nice.

Thanks to prufruckstar in the mystery box trade! Pours a hazy golden orange from the can with thin lacy white head that leaves moderate lace. Aroma of big resinous hops, pine and grass, hint of caramel malt. Taste follows, sweet up front, lasting bitterness. Very nice double IPA, booze is faint but present.

Clear golden beer out of the can with a foamy off white head. Big alcohol nose with tons of hop resin and candied grapefruit rind. Big caramel sweetness with some light bread and lots of tongue burning hop resin, pine and grapefruit zest hops. The alcohol is very present, but not quite boozy. This is a big, hoppy beer.

CampesinoTino (782) - Seattle, Washington, USA - OCT 27, 2014
Can. Light golden amber pour with a healthy layer of foam and bubbles. Aroma of herbal hops resin, grapefruit, mint, tropical fruit and pine needles. The flavor is a blend of resiny hops bitterness, orange and tangerine with a bit of dried mango, pine and citrus rind. A relatively strong caramel malt backbone holds it all together. Another worthy addition to the family.

Can thanks to bytemesis thanks to Chris! Orange-amber color, foamy but doesn’t stick around. Strong piney hop aroma but unnatural, almost like light rubbing alcohol astringency. Flavor has that same quality, the touchstone now being vodka-like alcohol.

bytemesis (3518) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - OCT 25, 2014
Can thanks to Chris! Pours hazy butterscotch, large beige head, creamy and slow to dissipate with nice lacing. Aroma is pine, spruce, dankness, citrus. Flavor is medium sweet and medium bitter, resinous with notes of pine and spruce. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel. Decent.
