651 ml. bottle. Bottled 03/12/15. Pours a medium, gradually dissipating, ivory head, with slight lacing, over a slightly hazy light amber (SRM 7) body......nose is citrus, pine, resin, pear, apple, from the hops, light cereal from the malts, balance to the hops.....taste is slightly sweet, with pear, apple notes, light anise, tropical fruits, primarily citrus, tinged with hints of pineapple, light cereal malts, finishing with a moderate bitterness, balance to the hops.....mouth feel, medium body, slightly sticky, mild alcohol warmth present, carbonation adds a slightly creamy texture. This is a wonderful display of the panoply of aromas and flavor in the varieties of American hops. The malt backbone is relatively hidden and needs some minor tweaking with the addition of more toasted (higher lovibond) malts. BJCP 9/3/16/4/7

Lots of citrus peel here. Pours golden amber with good head. Finish is pretty bitter. Quite a big malt backbone here.

22 oz Bottle. Tasted on 5/29/15. Bottle from Moore Liquor. Drank from Spiegal IPA glass. Definitely a NW IPA with a slightly funk or dank aroma to it. Taste is slightly sweet on the from followed by a good bitter finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Canned 3/30. Orange pour. Nose is initially piney but after it breathes for a few minutes it takes on a sweet maltiness to the nose and taste that overpowers the hops. I will rerate if I try it fresh, though no other hoppy can Iíve had close to 2 months old has never tasted this malty.

Cracking the cap on this bottle was a bit worrisome; in a package sent by a friend who wasnít in a position to keep the beer in the best of situations. I opened the bottle and was struck by the aroma of musky flowers and pine, and felt much better. A bit of drowned spicy fruit, each intake of breath bringing those lighter accents deep, sweeping over the heavier foundation of pine. It smells bitter. In a very good way... The liquid is light tangerine in hue, the dense, off-white head is two fingers deep in my tulip and Iím having one hell of a time getting the aroma through it. I draw sharply through the head, pull in my first mouthful, push the beer in circles over my gums and behind my tongue to get the best initial reaction. A warm malt backbone is present and although the beer is lining the back and sides of my tongue with a raw edge, itís so wonderfully balanced that at first, I canít tell Iím being bitten. Like a good kiss. Very nice. I do like my IBUs high. The well-carbonated medium body is a bit sticky, the foam adhering to the sides as I drain the glass and the depth of the flavor is wonderful. Itís a wonderfully comfortably uncomfortable beer with a hugely flavorful bitterness. The finish is beautiful, but if you are going to drink this, you make it the last beer (or two) of the night. There is no way this doesnít create an experience that leaves you void of the possibility of tasting anything else after the first sip. I love it.

Somewhat sour and slightly fruity aroma. Full of flavor, the taste is sweet and a little fruity on the tip of the tongue but very sour on the back of the tongue. Leaves a slightly sour and bitter but not unpleasant aftertaste.
