COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Fremont is the self-proclaimed “Center of the Universe” and Universale, our flagship product, honors the namesake of our unique location. Universale Pale Ale offers a distinctive Northwest twist on the classic pale ale, using a select blend of organic Gambrinus pale roasted malt and Old World malts balanced with classic Northwest hops to achieve a heavenly beer of rich malt flavor and subtle hop spice. This is beer. Enjoy.

Hazy gold. Lots of west coast hop notes. I get pine and tangerine. Nose is weak but with a hint of grass

On tap, served through randall with mosaic hops. Pours a cloudy orange with a thick creamy white head. Aroma of grassy hops, citrus, hop oils. Flavor of hop oils, fresh bitter grassy hops, garlicky hops, crackery malt, more hop oils in the finish. This is a hop bomb for sure, although the underlying malt base could be stronger. 7/4/8/4/14 (3.7/5)

Pale gold with a white head. Clean and tasty. Nice grassy hops with some dank flavors. Very light malt bill. Quite refreshing.

Smells great citrus and floral. Tastes honey, dandelions, fresh and light. A perfect pale ale in my opinion. Pair with dried cherry, smoked chicken, Gouda flatbread at Black Bottle in Seattle. Heaven I tell you.

The hop profile is very subtle. This malt profile is more dominant. This has a somewhat bready taste. Fairly easy drinking. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap @ Fremont. Pours orangish pale with medium white head. Aroma is mild pale malt and sharply bitter earthy piney hops. Taste is clean pale malt with big hoppy finish. Earthy, floral citrus hop notes dominate. Bitter finish, but doesn’t linger. Definitely on the hoppy side for a pale, which probably explains why I like it this much.

3/28/13. Sampled during CBC 2013. Orange pour with a small khaki head. Nice aroma on this for just a pale ale. Floral, piney, and plenty of citrus on top of a solid malt balance. Slightly more lackluster flavor, less hop presence, more malts coming through. Tasty.

On tap at BevX360, pours a hazy golden with a medium white head. Aroma brings out fresh piney hops, a little fresh grass and doughy malt. Flavour brings out fresh dough, medium hops presence for a pale ale, finishing very doughy. Very drinkable for a pale ale, with a very high freshness factor. Great doughy pale.
