COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Fremont is the self-proclaimed “Center of the Universe” and Universale, our flagship product, honors the namesake of our unique location. Universale Pale Ale offers a distinctive Northwest twist on the classic pale ale, using a select blend of organic Gambrinus pale roasted malt and Old World malts balanced with classic Northwest hops to achieve a heavenly beer of rich malt flavor and subtle hop spice. This is beer. Enjoy.

had at Fremont okto fest. This is a nice pale ale. A good hop. A bit fruity, more floral and some good bittering hops. A great surprise to the festival for me.

Who put the "Free" in "Fremont"? Alex?

On tap at the Fremont Oktoberfest. Pours cloudy dark orange with an off-white ring of foam. Sweet peach and grapefruit nose. Taste of toffee, peach, earth, spice and citrus. Crisp finish. This is nice stuff!

UPDATED: DEC 12, 2009 This should probably be spelled "Fremont". Nice hoppy, floral aroma. Slightly dark copper color with a medium head. More bitter and hoppy than a typical pale. Nice. There is a slightly off flavor, hard to identify, but a bit metallic. Still, very drinkable. A promising start for this brewery. ...Having had this a few more times over the months, I have to revise my 3.0 rating. The diacetyl flavor has been corrected and this is a very good, hoppy pale ale.

BillKismet (3000) - Seattle, Washington, USA - AUG 1, 2009
UPDATED: MAR 21, 2010 Bronze with crisp head. Honeyed floral grapefruit aroma. Body has a solid malt quality, with some honey malt flavor and barely discernable graininess. A bit of wet shoe intermingles with reserved grapefruit. Pretty reserved bitterness. Re-rated 3-20-10: Rather non-descript hoppiness. Grainy and mildly hopped.

Oh my god, first rating of this beer. I am the mother-fucking man! Nose is nice and hoppy with hints of citrus and floral hops. Light base malt notes are bready and a bit sweet. Smells almost like Manny’s IMO. Pours a hazy golden orange with a nice thin head and good lace. Dry light and quenching with a hint of sweetness and a nice hoppy finish. Notes of orange, light citrus and some floral notes too. Insanely drinkable. Rather nice.
