Golden pour, smallish head. Mild, hop-forward aroma, and a flavor that starts something like a weaker version of their Interurban, with biscuity malts coming to the front toward the finish. Standard.

Universal as in its appeal. Nice example of a classic pale ale. Bready toasted malt backbone with light hop spice, some grassy notes, and an earthy character.

Had on tap at the brewery. Poured clear honey with a white head. Aroma was oranges and lemons. Medium bitterness with a bitter finish.

Clear gold yellow color. Gentle hoppy nose with hints of pine and citrus. Very clean mild taste. I like!

As far as flagship beers go , you can’t go wrong with a solid ipa like this one.

Bomber. Pours a light gold and copper color with a half-inch of sudsy head. The IPA-like aroma is predominately earthy, citrusy hops with sweet caramel malt in the background. The taste is light and clean with an emphasis on the cereal malt, sour grapefruit and pine characteristics. The body has strong carbonation and finishes dry and astringently bitter with a slight grainy aftertaste. Overall, a decent PNW Pale Ale for summer drinking.

A drinkable pale ale alternative to SNPA. Bready malt with some citrus. Drinkable but far from my favorite in the APA category.

Light yellow with a finger white head. Smell is hoppy and citrusy. Taste is much the same. Very drinkable. Fremont makes some solid stuff.

Can. Pale pour with decent white head. Nose fairly faint floral hops. Taste has little more hop along with fruit.

UPDATED: JUL 17, 2012 Pours light gold color, with a medium, lasting head, lots of lacing, low aroma. Taste is balanced malty and significant resiny hop flavor. Substantial body on the palate. Maybe even a little chewy. Nice. Some complexity here, which you don’t often find in a pale ale. I know the brewer worked on this for a long time, and it shows. This is a pale ale that manages to stand out without almost becoming an IPA. Kudos, Fremont.
