French Broad 13 Rebels ESB

Courtesy ChzMan. Copper/orange, white carbonation. Biscuity malt and floral, bitter, grassy hops. Dry, bitter finish. Medium body, highly carbonated, easy to drink. Nice hoppy session brew.

Eh, it’s okay. Far too much fluffy head for this style. Lots of citrus in the nose and the flavor is mostly citrus too. Light, bright, and drinkable, but that’s the extent of it.

Slightly yeasty flavor. The beer is very sweet with an orange malt nut flavoring. There is a sticky aftertaste that lingers on the tongue.

Bottle. Poured amber with a creamy off-white head that settled to a ring and left light lace. Nice toasted malt aroma with a light hop and fruit background. The flavor found toasted malt, pepper (?), and citrus hops. Medium body and a dry light bitter ending.

Bottle at Papsø. Cloudy golden coloured with a huge white head. Fruity aroma of spices, yeast ad grass with notes of earth. Fruity flavour of spices, grass and earth with notes of yeast. Yeasty finish.

Bottled. Amber coloured. Unclear. Beige small head. Aroma of spice and fruits. Has some caramelly notes. Flavour is light citric, sweet and fruity. Medium bodied Dry. Has a grapish and fruity end.

Bottled. An unclear dark golden beer with a small sediment floating around with a bubbly off-white head. The aroma has notes of dusty hops, malt, fruit, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of hops, bread, citrus, caramel, dust, and malt, leading to an orangey finish. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

22 fl oz bottle. Pours dark orange with a small bubbly white head. Aroma is dry yeasty and mild fruity. Light malty and vague toasted. Bitter and mild fruity yeasty flavoured. Simple hops profile and light bitterness into a medium dry finish.
