COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A classic German style amber ale that’s seldom seen among American craft beer offerings. Rich and full-bodied with a complexity mass-produced beers cannot match. The finish is in perfect harmony with sweet crystal malts and a subtle noble hop profile.

Sampled at Brewgrass ’08 Appearance: Copper-color. "Looks the way beer should look." Aroma: A perfect blend of hops and malt, it could be a bit more aromatic for my likes. Taste: I’m not sure if this is close-on stylistically, but I hope it is! I dig this beer. A harmonious blend of malt and hops, not too sweet at all. There’s a nice hop follow-through at the end. Palate: Perfectly dry and fizzy. Overall: A wonderful session ale. Serving type: on-tap

This is toasted caramel deliciousness. Noble hops mix with earthiness and sour apples. Vibrant red in color with very litle head. Succulent toasted caramel flavor, some green apple, plenty of vibrant Euro hops. A great alt and a terrific quaffer.

Good session beer whose color was off according to the brewer. A good example of a smooth Alt. Great beer. Highly recommended.

clear copper, fine dirty white head, thick lace, big sweet bready malt aroma with caramel sweetness and floral hops, big creamy body, sweet caramel malt flavor, lots of fresh sourdough character like a big bite into a warm loaf fresh from the oven, light earthy bitterness for balance, best bread character ever

Bottle-The beer was a soft copper color with a medium to large head. Lacing was moderated and lasted through most of the drink. The aroma was of soft hops and some wet grass. Mild hop taste was the dominate flavoring with a soft floor of hops helping out, perhaps even some caramel or toffee was mixed in. The beer was a bit sticky and had a bitter finish. French Broad

22 ounce bottle from Wine Warehouse in Charlottesville, VA. I am VERY excited to see that they have increased their distribution to my hometown! Pours a clear copper color with a medium slight off white head. Good head retention and average lacing. The aroma is both sweet malts with caramel and raisin notes and bitter, leafy hops. Some tea and peach in there as well. Taste is nutty, earthy malts with caramel, tea and the same grassy hops. Fewer fruity notes than in the aroma. Medium bodied.
