From tap at brewery. Poured orange in color with small head that lingered. Hop aroma was all citrus and no pine. Taste was balanced between the hops and caramel malt.

Beer #17 Asheville trip. Medium orange, had a slight head. Aroma citric and slightly floral hop. Flavor was a dead on match, with enough malt backbone to keep it together. They also had a dry-hopped cask version of it that had just been tapped - very similar, but the green hop flavors of the dry hopping really came through in the cask version, almost like a Randall. A well done IPA, although for me it wasn’t quite my favorite hop profile.

Bomber-what a nice surprise as I never came across the brew. Pours a dark orange with a small, white head. Large citrus and hoppy aroma. The taste was similar. Nice grapefruit bitterness on the finish. Really good stuff. Brewery, 4.00.

Bomber. Hazy, amber body. Frothy, off-white head, slowly diminishing. Aroma of resin, toasted grain. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Long-lasting bitterness. Taste of raw grain, alpha acids. Leafy hops. Not a favorite combination, but this works better than most like this. Good balance, but couldn’t drink more than one glass.

651mL. Pours a clear orange with ivory foam. Good lacing. Nose is orange candy and cheddar. Taste is bitter, nutty, metallic, sharp Brasil nut. Quite bitter. Palate is thicker, very bitter, spicy. Not bad. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

16oz growler from Beverage World. Served at around 40F.

Pours clear copper with a one finger off-white head that recedes to a light cap with large foamy bubbles on the ring, leaves some webs of lacing behind. Fairly dark for an IPA.

Aroma is primarily grapefruit, some orange, a little pine, with bread and caramel malt underneath. Simple. Moderate to good strength.

Flavor is nice grapefruit rind, earthy hops, bit of pine, decent caramel malt backbone in the middle, good bitterness on the finish, minimal alcohol.

Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied, little sticky, moderate carbonation, feels a little watery at times?

Average IPA. Decent grapefruit kick and that’s about it.

tap@ French Broad. Amber color. Off-white head. Huge hop flavors. Citrus and loads of pine. Malt backbone has a perfectly welcoming caramel character with nice biscuit notes. Loads of hops linger to the end. Fruity hop finish in a hearty English malt body. Simple hop nose, light malt, great hop flavors. (3428)

22 oz bottle. Using the only cup I could find and it's not clear. I can see a one finger, carmel colored head tho. Smells slightly fruity, earthy, bready, and malty. Taste had a little vote up front, a tad sweet, and a nice drawn out malt backbone (like the bottle says). Pretty clean mouthful. A little pricey, but it's good.
