Draft at brewery. Nice citrus and pine aroma on a white head. Color has more depth then an English IPA. Fresh tasting and solid offering. Enjoyability 4/5.

Copper color with a white head. Aroma contains some caramel, pine, and lemons. The flavor is quite bitter with a good malt presence. Some herbal notes and citrus present. Finish is bitter. Overall a good IPA.

Bomber from Bruisin’. Pours a hazy orange with a good head. Aroma is definitely in the IPA territory. Though the hops aren’t super defined, this has plenty of citrusy and piney goodness to make me happy. The flavor is pleasingly bitter with a dry finish. Good even hop delivery in the mouth and some subtle fruity undertones are noted. I like this one. It’s solid.

Pour is clear orange with nice white head, aroma brings notes of toffee, grass, pine some slight orange and tangerine notes as well. Taste is a nice mix of grass, pine and citrus notes, touch of caramel and biscuit notes, finishes with a nice pine note and slightly bitter. Bottle thanks to Sam!

bottle, from Raleigh Whole Foods. good aroma, sweet. pine, orange, bready biscuity wheat scent. Clean brownish orange color, small head, though I poured slow, Good lace. Sweet Bitter flavor. lite body, creamy mouthfeel, bitter finish, that fades away. Pretty darn tasty. not a over the top kind of ipa, just a good every day brew, 7% still has kick. hate to say it has balance, but nice mix on malt & hop flavor.

An enjoyable quaff, and probably my favorite from the local brewer here in Asheville. Pours a reddish-copper into the glass, with a wispy foam eggshell head that retains a light cap, leaving sudsy lace. The nose is very woodsy and of deep pine forests. The flavors are of pine resin, appropriately balanced dry biscuit malt, a semi-tart citrusy grapefruit mid-palate, and finishing with a healthy dose of bitter pine needles and rind/zest notes. The mouthfeel is creamy smooth, with great substance and complexity abounding. This is a really nice IPA, and a solid offering from French Broad. A sleeper pick for sure!
