3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 12/20 unclemattie (3353) - Georgia, USA - AUG 9, 2009
12oz bottle. Generic looking label with the shape of the State of Florida on it. The cap as well. Pours golden yellow, big white fizzy head. Big malt aroma. Some hints of sawdust scent. A very nice hop aroma with hints of green peanuts. Flavor is a rich malt character. Sweet and bold. Definitely not what I’d expect from a Lager in the land of Pale Lagers. Very balanced. Finishes with a crisp hop bite. Medium bodied. A very well made Lager. Cheers.

12 oz bottle thanks to Daknole and the locals trade. Hazy amber with a huge persistent white head. Nose is sharp like lager and sweet like Belgian. Honey and orange. Taste is light sharp citrus. A bit of tartness. Lemon. Maybe good on a hot day.

Bottle thanks to daknole. Slightly hazy dark yellow honey colored pour with a good size whitish head that is sticky to the glass and hangs around. Blond ale aroma, bready pale malt taste is good pale malt. Almost wheat like smooth body. Yeasty fruit and spice notes and light hop finish.

UPDATED: FEB 17, 2011 Original Rating, 2004 -Imagine washing your dog in jalepeno juice -- that’s what this smells like. Label looks like some kind of cheesy handout from halftime at the Orange Bowl. I feared that it would be terrible tasting, but it was just lame -- like sodden oat cereal with a twinge of sour fruit. Poor. Original Rating: 2/1/4/2/7.
Updated Rating 2/17/11 - This beer has improved greatly. The aroma is crisp, and Eurolager cereal-fruity. Improved branding and packaging. Bright, clear, yellow with a big head. A quality European-style lager. Lots of cereal in the flavor profile, good bittering, not sweet. Medium to medium light body. The years have been kind to the brew. New Leaf Market.

Poured a golden colour with an average head. Well balanced with some hops and a slightly fruity taste. I was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed this brew.

Pale golden beer with a quickly dissapating white head. Light nose with some spice and faint citrus. This is better than the average macro lager. Malty backbone with some citrus lemon/orange in the finish. Easy drinking, but nothing interesting. Thanks to daknole for the bottle.

Pours gold with a nice deep head. Notes of thick malt on the nose and a nice heavy malt with a touch of hops at the finish. The beer reminds me of an amped up American Lager.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 wickedpete (634) - Lexington Park, Maryland, USA - MAY 10, 2008
Draft at Bierbrunnen, Ft. Lauderdale. A typical cheap pale lager. Yellowish but stands up a decent frothy white head. Has a grainy aroma, and a bready, watered down cheap malt flavor. It was actually somewhat refreshing in the Florida heat.
