The Eleven Brown Ale is a smooth Dark ale with hints of caramel and roasted nuts that are a result of the careful formulation of the malts. A slight hop bitterness balances the sweetness of the malts and provides the complement that makes the Eleven... one better than the other Brown Ale’s out there. Why the Eleven name ? It all started with the test batches when we were first conceiving of our company 10 years ago. We brewed many batches trying to perfect what the Florida consumer was looking for. All the bottles were anonymously numbered so that we were the only ones who knew which beer was going to be our first. The bottles with the number 11 were the resounding favorite. A step up and away from the light lagers that dominated the South Florida market at the time. A light tasting dark beer that to this day will surprise even the most steadfast light beer drinker.
Previously called Fresh Beer The 11.

Brown color. Some malt. Light palate. Not much here, drinkable enough, if nothing to enjoy. Its a brown ale, so I don’t expect much.

Bottle. Poured a clear brown with a fizzy tan head. Aromas of nut, toasted malt, caramel, and honey. The flavor takes it down a notch with only caramel and nut standing out. Medium body and sweet throughout.

Thanks daknole. Clear, medium brown pour with an abundance of beige head, generous lace. Aroma smoke, nuts, somewhat bitter. Flavor is built around bittersweet malts, but more sweet than bitter, big on the light caramels here, also touches of cider, brown sugar, pecan. Thin to medium body, but not at all watery. Nicely drinkable.

12 oz. bottle courtesy of a trade with daknole. Pours a hazy brown with a moderate off-white head that lasted through three-quarters of the glass and coated the glass well with each sip. Pleasant aroma of sweet malt, caramel and just a bit of hazelnut. The flavor lacks any of the sweetness promised in the aroma and consists of malt, cardboard, whole wheat bread, and unsweetened iced tea. Light bitterness at the finish. A bit of a disappointment after a promising start.

Brown color with a foamy beige head that left nice lacing and a lasting slick on the beer. Caramel sweetness in the nose with some tea and roasted malts. The flavors have some white sugar sweetness with sweetened tea, an almost raspberry fruitiness and a dry grassy finish. Not a bad brown, but not very interesting.

Trade with Daknole as well. Dark brown color, beige head, turned to lace. Malt and nuts on the nose. Some dark sweetness too. Very light flavor. Watery. Too light in the mouth.

Pours a clear copper with very little light tan head. Aroma is mineraly with roasted malts and nuts. Flavor is very mineraly with tangy nut notes. Body is light with high carbonation.

Bottle. Moderately sweet caramel malt aroma. Reddish brown body, light brown head. Well-blended flavor, moderately sweet and malty. Not bad.
