A smooth dark ale with hints of caramel and roasted nuts. This fullflavored English style Brown Ale perfectly balances the bitterness of the hops with a sweet malt base. "Why have a ten... when you can have THE ELEVEN!"

Contract brewed for Native Brewing Company.

Sample at Nona Tap Room. Pours a clear pale brown color with a medium thin light beige head that dissipates steadily to a wispy film. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of roasted malt and slight hops. Light-bodied with flavors of caramel malt, roasted nuts and mild hops. The finish is sweet with a short grainy malt aftertaste. Average overall.

Tap at proof. Light brown color almost muddy amber. White head. Looks thin and mouth feel is light body. Some brown ale notes but also some burnt grain notes too. Not worth a second glass.

On tap at the Proof FL Tap Invitational. Pours a clear brown on tap with bubbly white head that leaves light lacing. Aroma is light toasted nuts and crisp almost lager notes. Taste is more along the brown lines you expect, toasted nuts and caramel, slightly sweet. Decent, but nothing special.

Shaker pint draft at Tap42 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The pour is a golden copper brown with a small light tan head. The aroma is sweet malt and a pleasant nuttiness. The taste is chestnut, grass floral hop, and an ever so light roast quality. The palate is light bodied, active carbonation, and a clean nut and grass finish. Simple, straight forward clean beer.

Saying this average brown ale is an "11" (meaning better than a 10) is overstating it a lot. Caramel and roasty aromas are there. The 11 is light brown in color with a head that pours nice but dissipates quickly. Taste is sweet. The 11 goes down smooth. This is a decent session beer but nothing remarkable. The 11 is a nice change of pace if you get it at a good price, or something different to serve at a party.
