COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A smooth dark ale with hints of caramel and roasted nuts. This fullflavored English style Brown Ale perfectly balances the bitterness of the hops with a sweet malt base. "Why have a ten... when you can have THE ELEVEN!"

Contract brewed for Native Brewing Company.

Saying this average brown ale is an "11" (meaning better than a 10) is overstating it a lot. Caramel and roasty aromas are there. The 11 is light brown in color with a head that pours nice but dissipates quickly. Taste is sweet. The 11 goes down smooth. This is a decent session beer but nothing remarkable. The 11 is a nice change of pace if you get it at a good price, or something different to serve at a party.

Single bottle, Total Wine. As has been pointed out, this is brewed by Shipyard now. Amber pour with a small thin head. Malty, grainy aroma. Malt and bitter chocolate in the flavor with a really dry, coppery aftertaste. Tastes more like a black lager, really - in a blind test I wouldn’t peg it as a brown ale. Not something I’d be inclined to pick up again.

An average brown. Some nuttiness to the taste. Malty but with some metallic notes that appear after warming. Texture is watery. Color is on the reddish side for a brown. Good head and retention. Fair lacing. Average aromas strength but with nothing offputting. Low carbonation. Keep working at it Fresh Beer. It is nice to see you available in more locations.

7/2/11. 12oz bottle. Clearish dark amber pour with a big khaki head that fades fast. Horrifying dusty chocolate aroma like a melted chocolate bar left under sweaty feet all day. Slightly sour chocolate flavor with dust and a huge dose of metal. The body is ridiculously light. I wish this damn brewery would cease to exist.
