2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 chickenflea (243) - Oviedo, Florida, USA - MAY 7, 2012
An average brown. Some nuttiness to the taste. Malty but with some metallic notes that appear after warming. Texture is watery. Color is on the reddish side for a brown. Good head and retention. Fair lacing. Average aromas strength but with nothing offputting. Low carbonation. Keep working at it Fresh Beer. It is nice to see you available in more locations.
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 drowland (3901) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - JUL 2, 2011
7/2/11. 12oz bottle. Clearish dark amber pour with a big khaki head that fades fast. Horrifying dusty chocolate aroma like a melted chocolate bar left under sweaty feet all day. Slightly sour chocolate flavor with dust and a huge dose of metal. The body is ridiculously light. I wish this damn brewery would cease to exist.

This now appears to be brewed by Shipyard. Seedy, cereal, dry malt aroma. Clear, tea-brown with a small beady head. Good label. Lightly sweet, fairly hoppy, a little alt-like. Light body. Decent enough. New Leaf Market, 12-oz longneck. Enjoyed at Beer:30 on a Friday afternoon.

Bottle @ FBGBF ’010. Pouring crystal clear ruby red amber with light tan head and spotty lacing. It is a good looking beer. The mild aroma is sweet with a touch of caramel, a little bit of toffee and maybe a hint of butterscotch and some nuttiness. The taste is modest starting with dry roastiness sliding into mild nuttiness and them becoming a bit roasty with malts and some caramel sweetness around the edges all mixing into the finish.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 sebletitje (4413) - Enghien, BELGIUM - MAR 7, 2010
Draft @ FBGBF ’10.
Pours amber, off-white head.
aroma, roasted malts, dry malts, mild nose of caramel.
flavors, nice roasted malts is a little hindered by the hoppy side that seems to be a little too high, med-high carb, simple roast/pale malts.
Not a bad brown, just a tad boring.

Not too bad, but nothing really great. The appearance is soft brown with a light white foam head. The aroma and taste is that of roasted nuts with hints of hops.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 mmmbeer (1046) - Austin, Texas, USA - DEC 5, 2009
12 oz. bottle aquired in trade from Daknole- oh yeah, my fav. style! Served in shaker- poured a transparent brown color, thin white head formed and raised some hell. Light aroma of caramel and malt. Hits the mouth with low-medium body, malt has a touch of caramel, holds up in the middle, finish has some light lingering nut sensation along with a few hops. Good sessioner.
