COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
5,5 % alc.

Dark brown-black colour with a nice fine a white foam. Its aroma is complex with chocolate and coffee notes. The flavour is well-balanced but quite flat. It has a discreet finish of bitter chocolate. A good beer which good be very great with a little bit more character.

Clear, very dark brown with frothy light tan head. Sourish, fruity roasted aroma with chocolate notes and a little paint thinner. Medium body with roasted malt and more of that light sourish fruitiness. And paint thinner... Dry and bitter finish. Seems stronger than the ABV suggests.

Bottle, 5.5%. Fruity aroma, hint of liquorice and asphalt. Almost black colour, seems clear, red shine. Small stable creamy light brown head. The flavour is fruity at first, then comes a creamy and roasted note. Mild creamy coffee. Still fruity and citric. The creamy note is good, the citric note not so much. But all in all a good beer.

Bottle, trade with CH-303, opened @ The Unholy Trinity Meets Again, Sønderborg. Pours cloudy nearly black with airy but rather stable tan head. Clear aroma of roast, caramel malt and fruit. Bitter, roasty onset, replaced by sweetish, fruity notes of caramel malt and fruit and touches of hops. Roasty aftertaste. Tastes of more ABV than stated on the label. Decent. Thank you, Asbjørn.

Pours a deep black color, topped with loads of dark beige colored head. Very midl roasty aroma, some notes of chocolate - very hard to pick up. Taste is sweet and roasty, followed by nice notes of caramel and chocolate. Decent bitterness in the end. A nice one.

Many thanks to CH-303!! Great beige head. Fluffy, roasty and intense. The beer starts great intense roasted. Viscous, Hints of dried plums, slightly sourish, floral-sweetish, intense liquorice, malty-roasted. The aftertaste is medium-bitter, not too dry and roasted-smooth. Absolutely great!!!

Bottled 30cl. Courtesy of azlondon. It pours a dark beer which is far from being pitch black in any case. Poor head retention. Inviting, moderately acidic nose which has a lot of character: Lemon peel, burnt match, barnyard, mocha coffee, cocoa powder, ship rope and candy showing up. Good acidity aswell in the taste which adds to my appreciation of this beer. Suprisingly light bodied with an excellent drinkability. Creamy palate. Mediocre lacework. Good malt profile. The second half of the bottle I enjoyed this beer by having some chocolate with 85 % cocoa solids and saw that the match was rather stunning. Poor lacework. The finish is dry and not only reminiscent but also dominated by chocolate (before the food pairing of course). Overall impression: A delicious acidic stout which offers a lot of wonderful components such as lemon peel and cocoa powder throughout. Delicious and with a huge amount of character. Big thanks azlondon!
