330ml bottle!
Into the glass is a dark brown, almost black beer with a good, high, fine cream crown. The smell is roasty smoky, caramel. Not particularly for ham, but in fact only of smoke and fumes. Starts roasted malt and smoky, this time with a hint of ham note. Plays with a little chocolate in the far background. The aftertaste is peat-smoky, tangy, becoming relatively quickly hoppy. To finish, it remains slightly smoky roasted flavor with a good peaty and earthy tones in the background.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 MoritzF (7835) - Bochum, GERMANY - MAY 19, 2010
(swing top bottle) Hazy, ruby coloured hue with a big and beige foamy head. Sweetish and toasty malty aroma with ashy notes, chocolate, herbal hops and a slightly smokey touch. Moderately sweet and slightly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Slightly ashy and leafy malt-character with notes of caramel, chocoate and rather restrained smoke-malty notes; dry-ish toasty malty finish with discreetly smokey notes and a tinge of herbal hops. Likeable brew, but rather disappointing as a smoked beer. 18.V.10
