Bottle. Clear hazelnut brown with a medium sized off white head. Nose has dark bread, honey, flowers, light dark dried fruits. The flavour is light metallic with dark bread, honey, wood, dried green plants, brown sugar. Medium body, oily texture, fine carbonation, medium sweet and light bitter . Not bad except for the metallic thing which kind of spoils it.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein bernsteinfarbenes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr malzig, würzig, leicht fruchtig. Geschmack malzig fruchtig, getreidig, leichte Bitterkeit.

500ml bottle. Clear copper/amber colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, moderately lacing, off-white head. Minimally grainy, malt-spicy, caramel malty aroma. Taste is caramel malty, low sweetness, malt-spicy, a touch of toffee and cream. Quite nice.

Bottle looks very simple but good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head, a bit darker than exspected. Starts malty spicy with mild sourish notes in the background. Earthy touch. Finish well balanced, still fine malty, hints of caramel. Nice!

Bottle at the brewery tap. Drunk with the locals. Malty aroma some ok hop good fullness. Decent. I like the malt hop balance. Yes decent sting on finish.

Bottle. Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is clear light to medium amber. Aroma is lightly malty (cookie, toasted grain), lightly hoppy (flowers, apricot), with light notes of ripe peach, cantaloupe. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. This one plays it too safe and simple, and I almost gave the aroma a 6 for being so damned docile, but there are some very enticing sweet-fruity notes that keep me coming back. Very nice balance and pretty clean as well, which is more than I can say for a lot of things I’ve sampled so far on this trip. A very solid but rather unassuming lager.

Bottle by 24.12.(12). Nose lightly grassy with a little spagh funk. some toffee, fruit, and faint citrus. Clear orange-amber pour with a short beige head. Taste is sweet with a surprisng amount of fruit right up front. Dries out but that initial apple and berry is quite strong, closer to Direktsaft. Medium body. A little unusual.

Bottle @ Uncle Chris’ house in Fürth. Dark burnt orange, clear appearance with a light brown head. Toasty malty, light caramel, a touch nutty, grassy, herbal aroma. Chewy yeasty, toasty malty, cracker, a touch burnt, floral flavor. Not bad.
