(6/30/08) Draught at Stöhrenkeller in Bamberg. Slightly hazy yellow to pale golden color with a white head. Aroma has some sweet malt, hints of citrus, and nice hops. A bit of sweetness in the initial flavor and then dry with light hoppiness and a bit of citrusy and grassy hints but only very mild bitterness. Medium-bodied.

Draught at Stöhrenkeller, Bamberg. Clear golden, small head. Deep buttery nose. Soft, sweetish malt dried out by grassy hops. Wonderfully well structured malt superbly balanced by the grassy hops. Long but mild bitterness. Orthodox but superb, A fantastic beer, almost iconic in it’s simplicity.

On tap at Wilde Rose Beer Keller, Bamberg. Yellow gold with white head. Quite heavily carbonated with cardboardy note. Light and lemony, sweetish malt with a touch of betteryness.

Yellow colored, little white head. Rich yeasty and lemony, well-hopped handmade aroma. Some skunkiness also there. Medium bodied. Flavor is also rich with biting hops and lemony yeast, this biting tone dominates. Hops last in aftertaste with some nice butter.

Draft. A light yellow beer with a lazing white head. The aroma is sweet malty with light notes of flowers and hops. The flavor is sweet malty with a flowery hoppy note.

(On tap) Clear, pale, pilsener golden with a dense, creamy, white head. Extremely floral aroma - almost perfumy, yoy could be tricked to believe that coriander was added. Medium body with sweet malt. Lightly hoppy finish, but this beer is completely dominated by the great aroma hops. 091106

Bottled. Pale yellow colour. Small, but firm head. Grassy hop aroma with malty notes. Malty, sweet taste ending hoppy and slightly bitter. Mediumbodied. Quite tasty and well executed helles. Thanks to bierkoning for this.

Golden color, small frothy head. Aroma of fresh malt, some hops. Malty flavor with just a hint of sweetness. Firm herbal bitterness, especially for a helles. Hint of laurel.
