My Bottom Line:
Gently buttered toast and soft cereal sugars meld in this soft rural lager.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam covers the hazy blond.
-The mouthfeel is lean and softly carbonated.
-Malts and hops combine for a slight oiliness.
-This is not as accomplished as their Pils. But then again, this is a bottle, which is not the best vehicle for an unfiltered lager, most of the time...

Bottle purchased at Landbierparadies in June 2013 and consumed shortly thereafter: Pristine pale golden. Thin but creamy and persistent head. Decent aroma of slightly toasted bread, lemon candy, honey, hay, nectar, and a hint of cheesy yeast. Soft and foamy carbonation. Soft maltiness fuses with a spicy hop bitterness and firmer notes of Munich-derived toasted biscuit and honey-drizzled hay suggestions. Finishes with bright and quenching yet fleeting lemony acids amid a ripe melon and spicy, nectary hoppiness and gentle brush of coarse toast. No flaws to speak of, but overall a rather straightforward and subdued helles. Needs more hop expressiveness, especially in the bitterness department, but at the very least it’s quite drinkable.

Bottle from Landbierparadies.
Clear gold with a small white head. Mostly clean pale malt aroma, your basic toasted grain / biscuit / bread with some light apple esters and a bit of sulfur. Medium-light body but good firmness, acid and fullness in the mouth. Lightly sweet, low bitterness. Some corn kernels show up later along with stronger apple and pear esters, so it’s a limited by that.

Bottle pours a clear golden ale with a thin light head. Light hop aroma and faint fruit. Taste of mild hops and a little malt.

Bottle by 6.9.(12). Nose is meaty with some cellary spagh funk, just dank up hops, pours a thin clear golden with a fizzy white head. Taste sweet with a lightly herbal/grainy punch at the front of the spearhead, interesting fruit-yeast interplay from the middle into the end game. Really juicy flavors, and as idiosyncratic as the best Landbiere from the region. Light body pushing medium. Fun, interesting.
