Dark orange in colour with a large frothy dark white fading head. Good lacings. Noses of citrus, grapefruit, fruit salad with notches of green apple and banana. The texture is light slick offering a brief fizzy note. Medium bodied with light sweet and medium bitter notes. The finish is dry and leaves some bitterness on the palate, but in a pleasant way. The finish is medium long.

Bottle: Deep golden with an orangey sheen, hazy, hazy, small and stable off-white head, exotic-fruity and dryish-piney nose with a mild touch of sweet malt underneath; solid dry bitter flavour, light to medium bodied; moderate dry grapefruity to piney finish, rounded by faint traces of sweet malt. Robust hoppy stuff, quite well balanced…

Flaske, 33 cl, købt i Craft Beer Store, Hamburg. Gylden med et flot, kompakt hvidt skum. Humlet næse. Armsved. Solbær. Citrus. Ok malt-smag, ret besk harpiks-finish. Et af de bedre tyske forsøg i APA-genren. Men bedst i duften.

Appearance: Clear deep golden color with a fine off white head. Good lacing.
Aroma: Fresh citric hoppy, malty and mild fruity.

Taste: Citric hoppy, mild fruity and a fine mild malty back.
Overall impression: Nice tasty ale.
Personal stats: Bottle from a trade with McTapps

Bottle. Pours a hazy amber with a nice frothy offwhite head. Light hop aromatics, less citric and more earthy than expected, medium body, ok chewiness. Herbal, ginger lemongrass finish. Pleasant.

33 cl bottle.
Pours clear golden color with a huge white head. Quite nice floral aroma with citric hops and some pine needles. Doesn’t feel that fresh on the flavor department though, sweetish caramel malts round up the palate and it could be somewhat hoppier and fruitier. Leaves a lingering grassy aftertaste.

UPDATED: FEB 26, 2014 33cl bottles, Maruhn 12/2013. Powerful citrus and lemongrass nose, elegantly overhopped with a distinct Simcoe bitterness, slightly too thin-bodied for my tastes, with a distinct DE yeast profile. Light, enjoyable, hors-categorie DE- APA/IPA crossover.
