Bottle, 75cl, at TFODRBSG-12. A murky, orange-golden beer topped by a dense, two-finger, off-white head. Some lacings. Rather hopped nose, citrus peel, pine cones and some peach, white sugar and Belgo style yeast. A bit too much on the yeasty side maybe. Rather bitter in the mouth, some metallic hints in the far back, with white sugar, pine cones, resins and a touch of Belgian yeast. Or maybe it’s rather a touch of brett playing. Full body, quite effervescent. Bitter finish.120818

mile (2726) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JUL 18, 2012
Bottle. Dark golden, cloudy, small to average and mostly diminishing head. Moderate, malty and sweetish aroma, light caramel and some tropical fruitiness with some grapefruit hoppyness, light sourness. Body is medium and dryish flavor, light sourness and light tropical fruitiness, some grapefruit hoppyness. Finish is average, malty and dry, faint tropical fruitiness with sourness, some grapefruit hoppyness. Weird.

   AROMA 8/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 7/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 13/20
lusikka (5324) - Tampere, FINLAND - JUN 29, 2012
330 ml bottle. BBE 04/2013.
Pours a hazy, murky orange colour with a small white head. Aroma of really fresh Citra hops, some Cascade on the nose as well, but mainly citric hops. Flavour of strong hops, citric tartness, tingling pine needles, yeast and some weak caramel. Medium bodied, dryish mouthfeel and a really sharp, bitter but also overly yeasty finish. Aroma is promising but the yeastiness ruins the show by hiding the bitterness and hops in general. Could’ve been something great.
