4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 turbothy (1007) - Bonn, GERMANY - JAN 28, 2012
Pours reddish golden with minimal head. Sweet, fruity hop aroma - very powerful hop flavour. Without a doubt the most hoppy and bitter German beer I’ve tried - and it’s good. Some yeasty dregs left and a bit of a funky aftertaste are the only drawbacks here.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 mattphilips (802) - Budapest, HUNGARY - NOV 6, 2011
Wein Kultur, Berlin.

from bottle. pours a deep amber colour with a small frothy head that quickly disappears. wonderful and intense aroma of red berries, tropical fruits and citrus. best IPA aroma I have ever experienced so far. medium body, fizzy carbonation and thin texture. mainly pink grapefruit and citrus flavours, some pine notes in the background. long lasting bitter and dry aftertaste. a refreshing and fantastically balanced IPA from Fritz!
4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 quiri (10) - GERMANY - MAY 27, 2012
Bottle from Berlin Bier Shop. In my opinion: One of the best IPA-style beers in Germany at the time. I smell a lot of american hops - aroma of grapefruit and mango. Bitter, but not too much. Flavorful, but not too much. I want more...
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20 kjc51478 (361) - Cologne, GERMANY - MAY 14, 2012
200ml Sample at Bierkultur Festival in Köln-Ehrenfeld. Appearance is opaque, orangish-amber color with lots of foamy, off-white head. Aroma is intense with bitter grapefruit and orange peel as well as bready malts and caramel. Taste is similar with the grapefruit bite prevailing, along with mango, bread maltiness, and pine. Palate is medium-bodied, very smooth, average carbonation, and a long, dry finish.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 humlelala (691) - DENMARK - DEC 30, 2012
(33 cl bottle from WeinKultur Moabit; This is 15,4 P with Pilsner-, Münchner-, Karamellmaltz, Amarillo, Simcoe, Cascade 45 IBU and Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Brewed at Vormann Brauerei. BBD: September 30th 2013) Pours a semi-clear amber with plenty of carbonation and rich, two-finger white head that laces the glass and stays around. Aroma is fresh, herbal hoppy with simcoe pine notes sticking through. Oily texture, medium body perhaps a bit on the light side with a very sessionable balance of gentle upfront bitterness quickly played down by an equally gentle, neutralising sweetness. Taste has even more Simcoe and the citrus notes of the Cascade and Amarillo present a nicely complementary background. This will certainly be good inspiration for when I want to make my own Simcoe/fruity hop-brew. This is a good candidate for the best German IPA right now.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 fonefan (29292) - VestJylland, DENMARK - OCT 10, 2011
Bottle 750ml.
[ Courtesy of Fritz ]. Clear medium to dark orange colour with a large to huge, frothy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, orange - citrus, grass, citrus, dusty hops. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, caramel, hoppy, warm dark citrus, orange - mandarin. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Maybe rating is a bit high by quit excited about a germenay brewer making beers like this - KEEP ON THE GOOD WORK ;O) [20110930]

Bottle looks simple, but good. Beer in the glass fine turbid, nice huge head. Starts mild-hoppy, dry, but not too much. Fine grasy-hoppy, more and more spicy. Finish well balanced, some lemon hints. I really liked it!
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Countbeer (2853) - Best of Eindhoven ohne Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - AUG 15, 2011
Bottle:
Nice vast off white head on top of a hazy orange colored beer.
Smell hops, citrus, grape and soap.
Taste is a bit of a watery but nicely balanced mix of hops, fruit, citrus, grape, pine, bitter, herbs and grass.
Herby hoppy bitter aftertaste.
Soft mouthfeel, low carbo, medium to fuller body and the watery texture in the beginning turns more to a creamy one in the end.
Good beer.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Holy (817) - GERMANY - OCT 13, 2011
Bottle courtesy of Fritz - huge thanks! It’s so refreshing to see a German IPA hit the streets - and the fact that it’s good just pushes it further in the right direction. Had this beer last year at BBF 2010 (courtesy of Fritz again), but it was un-commercialized at the time - now with a nice label! Very fresh hops, color, mouth feel. This is a great IPA!
