Cask conditioned at The Turf Tavern, Oxford. Hazed gold with no head. Thin and tartish on the palate, tastes a little watery, didn’t get the elderflower unless that’s the tart note.

Hop aroma. Golden coloured slightly hazy in appearance and hoppy. Crisp and a little sweet on the palate. Wheaty malt finish.
2. Cask Stillage at the Civic Hall, Nantwich Beer Festival 26/09/2008

Cask at GBBF 2007. A golden beer with a white head. The aroma is sweet malty and wheaty. The flavor is sweet and very fruity of which a light banana note is present, leading to a dry wheaty finish.

Yellow with a small white head. Citrus aroma with a hint of spice. Sweet and quenching with a little spice flavour.

Clear golden pour topped by a little white foamy head. Simple, straightforward toasted maltd and banana oriented nose where dull grainy notes show up. Kinda husky in mouth and bearing a certain breadiness. Stale, flowery palate with a more than mellow carbonation for a weizen. A nice start that promises more than it delivers.

Cask@GBBF2007. Golden colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is really nectary, sweet fruity and wooden. Flavour is very much the same, but the woodenness is really strong.

Cask gravity at GBBF 2007. Gold, lasting white head. Citrusy, yeasty and cereal aroma. NIce summer blond beer with English hops and decent body from the addition of wheat. Fine. Doesn’t drink 5%, but isn’t as good as Oakhams White Dwarf.

A Mes rate:
Cask handpump at GBBF. Oily blonde colour with a ring of white bubbles. Pleasant floral hop nose. More floral character in the mouth with some sweet fruit and a lovely vanilla and then bitter finish. No real wheat to detect. Drinks like a session bitter. Very enjoyable.

Clear straw, thin white head. Grainy yeast, floral hop. Mouth is floral hop, some metallic tints. Sweet honey and coriander tones. Finishes floral and light.
