COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A robust coffee porter infused with the finest mocha beans. Subtle tones of roasted barley work their way into this smooth finish porter. A certain someone endorsed the brew with joyous song and dance.

Sampled at the DC Local Tasting a 22oz bottle pours a watery, opaque black with one ring of creamy white head. Nose is nice, nutty, brown sugar, toasted bread, coffee grounds, a little vanilla. Flavor is sweet, malty, coffee, vanilla, brown sugar. Medium bodied, dry finish. Really solid porter. Love to have this as my local.

651mL thanks to nimbleprop. Pours deep clear brune with a thickish mocha head. Yeast particulate in suspension. Decent retention and little to no lace. Seaweed nose. Taste is ashy with lots of newspaper character. Very papery. Too much cigarette ash and newspaper. Ick.

Sampled at an esbls tasting. I bought this in Michigan. The pour is very dark with akmost no head. I smell coffee and ash tray. A bit of chocolate on the second whiff. I also taste ash with coffee. A bit of that cocoa, again. A nice feel.

Rich dark coloured body with a thin tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, yeast, a bit of wort and a touch of anise. Medium-bodied; Robust licorice and roasted malt flavours with some pungent dark spices and a lingering flavour. Aftertaste shows a lot of spices, a ton of anise and licorice and some light chocolate and coffee - nice. Overall, a very nice and pungent porter with a lot of spices and a ton of licorice - very nice to sample and well worth tasting. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Merchant’s in Dearborn, Michigan two days ago on 28-April-2011 for US$6.49 sampled at a friends house in Northville, Michigan on 30-April-2011.
