Spicy floral hop aroma that is very pronounced. Copper color with a light head. Flavor is malty caramel with a nice floral hop presence and a bit if sweetness. It’s nice. Full bodied with a dryish finish.

mini growler; cloudy amber color; piney, grassy hops; medium-bodied, semi-sweet malt base; rye is not really apparent

Draught. Pours a moderately clear amber color with very little head on it. Nose is pretty light, with only some faint whiffs of rye in there. Taste definitely has some rye and grains in there, and is actually slightly sour. Not all that great for me.

At topsail. For a rye beer this is top notch. Sometimes a rye has too much bite for me. This one is weak on rye which makes it better. Bought this to go with a cigar but think its too weak for the cigar. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Ok beer. Aroma is weak and so is mouth feel. There doesn’t seem to be the peppery bite most rye beers are defined by.

Growler sample shared by Dr Silverworm. Poured hazy golden color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate citrus, rye aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. The beer is a good drinkable brew.

32oz growler, shared. Mostly hazy somewhat darker yellow orange color. Good thin white head. Decent lace. Very nice spicy rye bready flavor. Good toasty malt. Some nice tangy orange citrus to balance it out, and some nice floral hops. More bitter taste. Medium body, smooth light to moderate carbonation. More dry finish. Very nice, satisfying rye pale ale. Big satisfying amount of rye. Nice stuff.

Aroma is a light rye and heavy citrus. Taste is a great balance of sweetness and bitterness. As it warms up it develops a white grape juice flavor. One of the nicest pale ales I have ever had. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Frog Level Brewing in Waynesville. Pours a cloudy brick into the glass with a fluffy eggshell head that leaves soapy lacing. The nose has rye and light toast notes. Flavors are a splash of rye, malts and some cereal. Unfortunately the bittering doesn't quite balance the brew to a traditional PA. The mouthfeel is smooth and provides an active yet easy quaff, good for any afternoon relaxer. Again, not overwhelmed, but an interesting take on the style and appreciated. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
