16 ounce can - $3.50 at Tasty Beverage Co. in Asheville, North Carolina.

Appearance: Pours a hazed medium-to-dark brown body with a smallish, thin, ecru head. Lightly laced on the descent.

Smell: Softly sweet-smelling nose of moistened malted barley grains with a toasty bent to ’em, a little fruitiness akin to strawberry, with the hops registering as a bit subtle and subdued.

Taste: A taste of toasted breadcrust and biscuit with some crumbled brown sugar cookies and a bit of nutty-tasting caramel candy. Moderate sweetness. A firm vein of fruitiness running throughout. Leafy, herbal hops impart some bitterness, though it remains predominately sweet. Finishes malty (nutty) and still rather fruity with some lingering sweetness.

Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium carbonation.

Overall: A sweet-leaning brown that, like its moniker, is a bit nutty.
