COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dark de Triomphe is our fabulous stout. Rich, dry, full-bodied with a thick and creamy head. The bitterness comes from a large addition of ‘Challenger’ hops in the copper. This is a hugely popular beer with customers and barstaff alike, so much so that not one drop of any other stout is sold in any of our pubs!

Draft at Frog Pub Microbrewery in Paris. Dark cola brown. Very creamy, nutty taste and mouthfeel. Light roasted malts and milk dominate with a dry bitter finish. Very low carb. Sessionable abv but, one was enough.

4oz pour at the Toulouse location, labeled as Darktagnan, comes out a hazy brown with some creamy, white head. Nose has malt, mild licorice, honeycomb, a little candy. Flavor is interesting, sweet, honeycomb, candy, mild roast. Finishes creamy. More of an amber than a stout.

DRaft Frog & Rosbif St-Denis Paris. Un Stout classique, doux, crémeux, lisse et onctueux, léger avec une amertume présente, sans fioritures ni houblons du pôle sud. Des notes de torréfaction, cendres, marc de café et crème pour un plaisir simple.

Bottle from Mam and Dad’s holiday, Paris, France. This is a hazy dark brown-black beer with sour red fruity and spicy flavours, zesty notes and a tart fruity finish.

Looks good, tastes ok.. Nice creamy head with typical nitrogen lacing. But not as much body as it could have, reasonable malt and dryness, no bitterness. Almost a porter than a stout!

Amber bodied, small head, big bubbles. Bit malty, toast, toffee, malt forward yet still very mild. Soft mouth feel, very English and since that’s the point, props to them. Surely it’s still passable. Good for a tick though. (On tap at The Frog & Rosbif)

Deep dark ruby that is almost opaque but at first view it looks black, with a thick, frothy, lacy, tan, lasting head. Deep frothy Guinness look. Smells of roast, chocolate, berries, deep malt. Medium to light frothy thin body. Tastes of chocolate, roasted and caramel malt. Decent stout but a little thin.
