On tap @ Frog & Princess (Paris). Coppery color with a minimal and quickly diminishing light white head. Aroma has strong notes of ginger with hints of caramel. High presence of ginger on palate. Light red fruits in the aftertaste.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
[Draught at Frog XVI, Paris, May 22] 31st rating of my Paris/Amsterdam trip. Pours a hazy yellow-gold, quite bubbly, with a small diminishing fizzy white head. Aroma of grain, fruit and ginger along with a bit of bread and that’s it. Slightly watery flavour has a good amount of ginger -- kind of tastes like a Blonde Ale with some ginger. Average bodied. Not as much ginger as I’d like but still more then some -- just pretty good overall.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tap at the Frog pub near the Madeline in Paris. Well, this had a definite ginger taste and it wasn’t too strong, but the ginger kinda overtook any other flavors and it tasted like a lager mixed with ginger ale. If you fantasize about ginger it is too weak (no heat), for most it is too strong. Easy to drink though.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Keg at The Frog & Rosbif, Paris. Gold with fizzed white head. There is quite a harsh ginger spiced note to this, edgy, sweetish lager notes with a wet cardboard hint. Not really my thing.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draft Frog XVI Paris July 2014. Strawberry blonde pour. The aroma was mainly ginger and tangerine. Very bitter, candied sugar, lemon, and ginger taste. Similar to summer shandy beers. Not my kind of brew but, I only had a few sips to try it. Hard to drink.

4oz pour at the Toulouse location comes out a clear gold with some white head. Nose has big ginger, candy, some pepper. Flavor is all honey and candy with a spike of ginger. Zesty finish. Just ginger ale with alcohol.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Clear little pale yellow with no foam left. Aroma has ginger present. So in taste, some barley with stronger ginger notes. Ginger also there in aftertaste, does the name right. (Paris 201402)

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Clear ginger yet with enough moderation. Soft herbal aroma, actually better than I expected. Light bubbly, easy to drink although a bit astringent aftertaste.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Medium gold with a thick, lasting off-white, sliding off the glass lacy head. Rich smell of ginger consumes, like a ginger cookie with cinnamon and less like a ginger beer. Frothy, medium oily body. Tastes of ginger right off the bat with some light citrus and yeast on the finish. Something like orange peel lingers.
