Bottle. Cloudy golden beer with a strong white head. The aroma is smoothly hopped and bitter, and the flavour is bitter with toffee, hopped'ness and yeast. Overall a reasonable bitter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

50cl bottle from a gift selection box. A perfectly Ok traditional English bitter. Amber in colour with a ring of white head; a light vegetable bitterness to start, and a caramel malt body. Full of flavour despite the low ABV.

Bottle. Bronze with a clear appearance. Bitterness dominates. Very sharp and refreshing. Plenty of body for its relatively low strength. Pleasant.

UPDATED: FEB 16, 2013 [as From The Notebook Puffin Best Bitter] (bottle) Slightly hazy amber with thin beige head. Aroma when cold was slightly fruity but as it warmed up became malty with a slightly spicy edge. Light body, medium carbonation. Flavour starts with some initial fruity tang quickly giving way to a nice bitterness balancing some light maltiness. The bitterness continues through to a nice long tasty but gentle bitter finish. Very nice beer.
