Pause is a beer for the Thinker in the pack, dark mysterious and full of flavour, if you have a spare few minutes "Lock" in and contemplate.

Front Row Pause 747413 3.5 Cask at The Leeky Tap, Leek. A black colour with a medium beige head. Aroma of chocolate, light coffee, some caramel, slight cream, a little roasted malts and subtle dark fruit. Taste of chocolate, light coffee, some roasted malts, slight caramel, a little dark fruits and subtle liquorice. Light bodied and soft carbonation. A soft, chocolatey bitterness in the finish. A smooth stout with a good amount of sweet chocolate and caramel. The best front row beer Iíve tasted.

Bottle from Chester Beer & Wine. Inky black with a thin tan head. It has a chocolate and unusual salty? Flavour with roasted notes followed by sweet chocolate and oak on the finish.

Cask, Hops Bar, Crewe. Smokiness overcomes the, hoped-for, chocolate aromas and flavours that the pumpclip promises. Slightly metallic edge, roast malt and licquorice flavours, TCP in the finish. Not convinced

Tap at The Wellington, Birmingham. Poured a deep mahogany with a broken off white head. The aroma is weak dry malt. The flavour is medium bitter, liqourice, roasted malt, dark chocolate and some citrus fruit in the palate.A really flavourful and refreshing beer.

Cask @ Nags Head. Claims to be a chocolate stout rather than a porter. If it is, itís from choc malts rather than cocoa, but itís tasty nevertheless. Dark, small head, smooth and full bodied, slightly sweet with hints of chocolate.
