Clear medium to dark brown color with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, moderate to light heavy chocolate and vanilla. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration, swet dark malt, chocolate, chocolate malt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. Cask @ Nags Head. Claims to be a chocolate stout rather than a porter. If it is, it’s from choc malts rather than cocoa, but it’s tasty nevertheless. Dark, small head, smooth and full bodied, slightly sweet with hints of chocolate.
