tytoanderso (1140), St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA Feb 13, 2008 Growler from elmatador00. Nice stuff! Pours dark, nearly opaque brown with a creamy khaki head. Caramel malt, a touch of smoke, wet earth/tree bark on the nose. Some butter toffee as well.upon warming, tons of fruit notes appear: raspberries, chocolate covered cherries. Lots of sweet, fruity malt with a hint of wood and earth on the tongue. Medium bodied and quite creamy. Sweet, but not cloying. Earthy, without being harsh. A very nice Scottish Ale. elmatador00 (513), j-action-ville, North Carolina, USA Feb 8, 2008 Draft at brewpub. Pours a opaque brown with a 2cm off white head. Aroma is mostly caramel and wood. Tastes of rich malt, barley, smoke, sweet caramel, and little hop presence. Finishes with a creamy texture. Alcohol is perfectly balanced. My favorite brewery in this area hands down. Also, great with the Homemade Meatloaf Sandwich.
