on tap @ Front Street Brewery / Davenport IA --- Cloudy dark gold color, rim head, splotches of lace. Taste is simple wheat and malt with some dried apricot and spices. This seems like their Hefeweizen with some apricot added. Drinkable, but not a real keeper.

ARH (406) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 17, 2014
UPDATED: JUN 18, 2014 On tap, poured into a 4oz sampler glass. The aromas are mild - a combination of floral notes with a moderate apricot juiciness - nothing overwhelming though, and rather mellow. It appears as a very cloudy yellow beer with a white head and a medium puffy ring with tight, micro bubbles speckling the surface. It doesn?t leave much lace. The taste is a medium high, mellow and dry sweet. The creamy texture comes with a medium body and a soft carbonation. A dried apricot and soapiness finishes the beer with a touch of citrus. It?s dry, crisp, and clean. A bit of a grassy and grainy aftertaste lingers for a short time with a watered down fruit juice. It?s a refreshing summer beer.

Tap. Vibrant orange pour, 1/2 inch head and a decent fresh apricot aroma. Flavor was creamy apricot, but a few off flavors on the aftertaste. Not bad.

12/23/10. On tap in a pint glass. Generic banana like aroma with a sweet fruity flavor (not distinctly apricot) that lingers very wheaty. Not great.
