Dark brown with a creamy head. The aroma is roast malt and caramel, a hint of chocolate. Thr flavor has the sweetness and roast malt. A little thin for a stout.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a black colored body with a thin, creamy brown head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is dark and milky chocolates with some roasts and earth. A touch of vanilla and bitter coffee. Flavor is similar. Balanced chocolate, coffee, and a moderate roast with a touch of vanilla at the end. Finishes clean, lightly bitter and earthy next to the coffee and roast, and balanced with a nice chocolate. Lengthy aftertaste following a medium body and light carbonation. Overall, a decent stout. Nothing special, but easy drinking and enjoyable.

Draught at the brew-pub

The beer pours basically black with a thin tan head that is pretty well retained and leaves not much lacing on the glass.

The aroma is nutty, with plenty of roast and dark chocolate. The aroma has a little bit of banana in there that isnít totally out of place. The bouquet is mild, but what is there is very pleasant.

The flavor of the beer is roasty, perhaps a little too liberal with the roast, but the nuttiness and the dark chocolate step up to provide a little balance there. Again a little bit of banana in the flavor that just isnít bad no matter how much I want to think it is. Itíd certainly get docked for this in a BJCP contest, but the beer is tasty so Iím not really going to whine about it.

An old rate from the brewery. Pours a deep black with crimson at the edge. Nose is toasted bread, slight hops and roast. Taste is a bit bolder than anticipated. Roast, coffee and cocoa. Light bitter finish. Nice.

Have had this on draft a couple of times at the brewpub in a pint glass. Light coffee with hints of milk chocolate. Not quite strong enough flavor and somewhat minerally.

On tap at Front Street Brewery. Black with a thin tan head. Aroma of coffee, mild sourness, roasted malt and caramel. Taste pretty much the same with dark roasted malts and everyoneís favorite stout ingredient, corn. Over carbonated as the rest of their beers.
