Front Street Cherry Ale

Draught at the brewpub. Slightly hazy, golden color with thin white head. The bone-dry, crisp, and bitter characteristics of this beer melded nicely with the ample cherry flavor. Nice fruit beer.

Thanks for sharing the sample, Duane. The body is a light clear gold. The aroma is decent with vanilla, cherries and a hint of perfume. The taste is bready with a hint of the cherries in the finish. There is also a light peppery finish.

5 oz. sample at the brewpub. the barkeep called this a cherry stout, but whether it is a fruit beer or a stout, the cherry flavor was minimal. an OK beer, nothing spectacular.

Sample at the brewpub. Cloudy honey color, cherry cough-drop nose, a bit noxious. Some fake cherry in the flavor, little else. Not quite gag-worthy, but so what?

Redish color with next to no head. Strong cherry smell and taste. Stronger cherry than in other beers I have had.
