roder_60 (871), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 16, 2008 Pours clear gold with nice bubbly white head. Aroma sweet and grassy. Nice full mouthfeel. Refreshing and crisp on a 90 degree day. Very good kolsch example. tronraner (1391), (Louis-, Sevier-, Knox-)ville, Tennessee, USA Jul 24, 2007 Draught at the brewpub. Pours golden straw color with big white head and good lacing. The aroma is spicy hops and some pine, green twigs, and grain. The flavor is mildly floral with some odd planty tones and a mellow sweetness. It dries a bit toward the crisp finish. Not bad. muddyfeet (72), Raleigh, North Carolina, USA Jul 19, 2007 Even nearly flat this is a tasty beer. I was afraid this growler had passed its prime when on my way out of the brewpub I overheard an employee say how he spent all weekend filling growlers. I picked it up on Wednesday and am drinking it on Thursday. Unfortunately, there is extremey little carbonation to this beer. However, it is quite nice tasting. Malts kind of coat the tongue but cutting through it all is a nice hop bill that builds up some steam. Little bit of a breadiness to it. Poured a very clear gold with hardly a bubble in the glass. rayg1 (404), Ft. Mill, South Carolina, USA Jul 8, 2007 Pours a clear golden color with a good white head and lacing lasts well as elmatador said earlier. Has a faint fruity aroma and taste. This beer was very enjoyable because of its lighter body on a summer day and the light fruit flavor really makes the beer. I enjoy IIPA’s and stouts but I am really starting to enjoy some of the lighter styles such as saison and kolsch. This was my second kolsch ever and yet again I was not dissapointed. I will seek out this style in the future. elmatador00 (518), j-action-ville, North Carolina, USA Apr 30, 2007 Pours a light translucent golden color. Has excellent lacing. Hints of strong malt flavor and thats about it. Finishes light and flavorless on the tongue.
