COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A Dark English Mild. An English Mild is categorized as a session beer by the Brits. Session meaning that they can enjoy more than a few pints without falling out of their chairs at the bar. Our English Mild, appropriately named Milds Davis, is dark in color. Some Chocolate malts and a touch of Caramel malt give this beer its color and some nice flavors. This beer is hopped with only East Kent Goldings Hops. Although this beer is low in alcohol it is flavorful enough to appease the pickiest beer drinker 3.8%ABV

Served on draft at the brewpub. Pours a clear dark ruby color with a medium sized creamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of caramel malts, grain, toasted malts, strawberry-like fruit notes. The taste is toffeeish malts, earthy notes, caramel and a faint hop finish. Medium bodied. Quite nice.

Serving: Draft at the brewpub. It pours a very dark brown color with a small head. The nose is very roasty. The flavor has roasted malt and some nuttiness, but comes across as a bit thin. Light and a touch watery in body with average carbonation. Not terrible but I wouldn’t mind a touch more flavor.

mug at the brewery. Pours a dark brown with a bubbly head. The aroma is roasty and ashy, obviously fairly mild. Palate is light, like I would expect from the style but this one has enough flavor to keep things interesting. Notes of cacao and woody hops along with toffee are here and harmonious, leaning more towards the malt.
