Bottle, 375ml corked, courtesy of fonefan. As Bliss. It pours a pinkish golden body and a minimal sized pinkish white head. Nice raspberry aroma but a bit weak on everything else. The flavor has a berry-ish sourness and raspberry, as well as a faint beery flavor. Medium body, quite dry. Raspberry and something bitter-like blends nicely in the end. A quite nice beer, but I guess the choice of beer isn’t the right for raspberry steeping. 110319

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Fin (5749) - Merton, Oxfordshire, England, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - JUL 28, 2010
Bottle picked up at the Chequers, Front Street Brew-Pub, Binham, Norfolk 16-06-09, consumed later that day at Stiffkey Campsite. Pours a hazy rusty red colour with a white head showing just a hint of pink. The aroma is of light hedgererow fruits but it is quite gentle and is perhaps slightly overshadowed by a wheatiness on nose. Soft raspberries in the mouth, with wheaty flavour and a good tartness, there is a soft edge to this it is really fizzy with a good fruity bite. This is a really good stab at a raspberry wheat, both the fruit and the wheat base compliment each other very well, this is refreshing and moreish. I only realized I hadn’t rated this when I checked my stockpile of beers and noted I had one of these left and checked back to see that this rating and another couple from the time had not been entered.
