A NEW addition to our seasonal selections, the Sinful Stout is a decadent, chocolate stout brewed with a few pounds of chocolate velvet coffee during the fermentation process. The result, a sinfully rich, smooth ale with notes of coffee and chocolate. 6.0%ABV

Bottle. Pours a dark brown with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is strong roasted malt and coffee. Medium mouth with light roast, burnt sugar, sweet finish. Good.

Bottle... Tar black ale with a small, creamy, khaki head. Decent retention with a permanent ring. The aroma is a decadent pairing of chocolate and vanilla with a lesser note of cinnamon. Barely medium-bodied with a dry mouthfeel and airy carbonation. An early phase of infection has robbed the beer of viscosity, but has not produced enough acidity to totally taint it. Close to all residual sugar has been eaten and dispatched. Bitter roasted cocoa dwarfs all other components. More sugar would emphasize all the maltiness this beer once offered. Finishes acrid, bitter and Sahara-dry. In retrospect, there was a burnt coffee bean element in both the aroma and flavor as well. Despite the bug, this was an enjoyable beer. A shout out to Kevin Kozak for providing the bottle!

3/4/13. Bottle thanks to the brewery for RBWG. Black pour, more of a deep brown, under a nice khaki head. Light caramel/butterscotch and chocolate on the aroma with more chocolate and a touch of coffee in the flavor. A touch thin. Not bad!
