Pours deep hazy amber into a shaker. Off-white head with little retention recedes to sicken rim. Soapy resin aromas. Dry with dank leaves and leather upfront turning to sour caramel and resin in the lasting finish.

Pours hazy amber sporting a dense rocky head that lasts and leaves great lace. Nose lends strong bright citrus, grapefruit, and tropical fruity hops against some intense caramel malts. Flavor is a complex blend of toasty and darker sweet malts woody hops, pines, herbal greens, fruits, and citric acid. Flavor is also a little medicinal and soapy. Dry and carbonation is moderate to moderately heavy. Bitterness is soft but intense and lasting. The medicinal/plastic character really takes over and ruins the expirence. Gets worse the more you drink.

Bottle at The Kernel Christmas Tasting, 2011, London. Your welcome, gents. Pours clear, golden-brown with an off-white head. Toasty grain, dark grass and light pine on the nose. Light to medium sweet flavor, some dry wood and pine, light toasty sugars. Medium bodied with average to high carbonation. Lightly oily. Big bitter finish, pine and resin, dry wood. Slightly abrasive bitterness. A bit of light toast lingers. Not bad. Interesting. A pretty classic East Coast IPA by my standards.

Christmas tasting at the Kernel. Another one courtesy of Leighton - Cheers Man! Clear amber beer, good bubbly cream coloured head. Strange grainy malts at first but once the beer breathed for a few mins it all but dissapated. Marmaladey hops. Citrussy orange and lemon with a trace of pine. Dry finish.
