2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
from bottle, a sparkling light yellow color. sweet in flavor not bad for an extremely cheap beer. I really bought it or the interesting label and name.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Pours a transparent pale golden with a thin, spotty-lacing ring of white head. Aroma of slightly grainy pale malt and a hint of earthy noble hops. Body is thin, but smooth with little grainy malty character and a touch of earthy bitterness toward a clean, but boring finish.

1.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Light as all hell with almost no head at all. Aroma of old malt, some light cardboard and about nothing else. Light-bodied; Faint taste of paper and rice mixed in with super mild malt flavours. Aftertaste has some budweiser-esque flavours and finishes decently. Overall, I’d rather not have this one at all and just buy some decent beer for a few cents more a bottle to get something worth drinking. Sample it if you want to add another rating and to just tell everyone at Trader’s that YES, you had this as well as all their other currently in stock beers. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle on 03-March-2007.

0.9 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 1/20
Pale, pale yellow with a steady, inverse-snowfall of carbonation supporting a white film. Aroma frought with adjuncts. Corn and metal and musty, dusty wheats... and a barnyard that belongs in a Lambic, not a Lager. Some defined notes of poo. Seriously. A little bit creamy in the mouth, but otherwise thin and wet and corny and sweet. Nothing quite like creamy, wet, corny poo in the mouth, let me tell ya’. Great start to my Friday.

1.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 8/20
12oz bottle- An aroma of corn and grass on light golden body with a decent white head that retains itself fairly well. Taste of a typical pale lager with a decent middle taste but a bad front and back. I expected more from August Schell even if it is a contract.

1.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
Ultra light straw color with a fading white head that does leave a thin lasing lid and some lace. Corn mush and grass aromas. A very mild DMS, not the full vegetable, but rather a lightly steamed vegetable sort. Sweet, very sweet, not malt, but corn and simple sugars. Flavor-wise this is truly a drain pour. As I refuse to finish this one. This actually gets slightly better as it warms. OK, I’ll finish it, but at least it got slightly easier as it warmed.

Yikes! Thought Trader Joe’s might be a good source for a decent, cheap, everyday kind of brew, but this stuff is rank. Reminds me of Miller High Life that’s sat on a grocery store shelf too long. A bit of vegetable skunkiness in the mix. The label doesn’t even say whether it’s an ale or lager (it’s a lager). Still, if you want an American Industrial Lager, this fits the bill and isn’t expensive.
