3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours yellow beer with a big white soapy head that stays for long. Fair lacing. Aroma is malt and hops, pretty straightforward. Taste again is malt and some notes of hops. Mouthfeel is lively with low to medium carbonation and a tiny bit of bitterness. Overall a pretty boring beer that us not much different from your session lager.

My first actual German Kolsch. Mild corny, cereal/grains with some light fruitiness. May have been a bit old, but it was fun to try the real deal.

Tap at Fruh Am Dom, Koln. 26/8/13. Aroma is grainstore pilsner malt. Crystal clear yellow with a frothy white head. Flavour is sweet pils malt, some corn. Semi sweet finish. Medium carbonation. A bit dull. Beutiful setting next to the cathedral.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
33cl bottle. Pours pale transparent golden with small white crown on top. The nose is similar to a Pilsner, even though there are some grassy notes and hints of spice. The flavour is very similar, slightly bitter and fruity. Skunky palate. Light body, good carbonation. Nothing surprising.

Free draft at the Junkersdorf fall festival.... along with free sandwiches. Best fest ever. Oh yes the beer..... it was fairly average. A little sweet and a hint of German Riesling.

Quite a nice smell when opened. Reasonable taste and not gassy. The taste itself is not so strong or developed but it it by no means offensive and a relatively pleasant after taste is there in any event. Manage your expectations but a drink I'd take again.

Bottle. Pours clear pale golden with small white head. Clear, fresh aroma of yeast and hops with a subtle note of paper.Bitter, hoppy flavour withba good deal of yeast and an unobtrusive paperlike or skunky note. Bitter and slightly skunky finish. Drinkable, acceptable, to somebextent enjoyable, too, but one is never in doubt that it is mass produced stuff.
