superspak (4581) - Michigan, USA - APR 6, 2016
330 ml bottle into pint glass, best before 10/7/2016. Pours crystal clear golden straw color with a 1-2 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of cracker, biscuit, light honey, herbal, floral, grass, light pepper, light pear/apple, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of pale malt, earthy hops, and light fruity yeast notes; with solid strength. Taste of cracker, biscuit, light honey, herbal, floral, grass, light pepper, light pear/apple, and yeast earthiness. Moderate herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of cracker, biscuit, light honey, herbal, floral, grass, and light pepper on the finish for a good bit. Very nice robustness and balance of pale malt, earthy hops, and light fruity yeast flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from bitterness as well. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, crisp, and fairly creamy/grainy/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 4.8%. Very slight sulfur character is present in the aromas and flavors as well. Overall this is a very nice Kolsch style. All around good robustness and balance of pale malt, earthy hops, and light fruity yeast flavors; and very smooth, crisp, and clean to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Bottle from Beer Cartel 290316. This light straw coloured beer is clean and crisp in the mouth but didn’t really do too much for me. Grassy straw like aroma, thin body and fluffy white head.

lotsalaughs (157) - Alberta, CANADA - MAR 29, 2016
bread, cereal, herbs, earthy, leaves, golden, clear, minimal head, white foam, light sweetness, medium bitterness, light body, thin feel, average carbonation, bitter, long finish Light gold with thin white head. Earthy/herbal aromas with bread. An interesting dry mouthfeel accompanies the subtle bitterness - both soon disappear for a clean finish. Thin bodied with an average carbonation made it easy drinking.

Taste is crisp, clean balanced, with notes of crackers. Grainy yet clean nose. Bright gold and crystal clear with a white head of delicate lace on glass. Medium lite body. Kolsch as it should be.

leduardol (114) - - MAR 26, 2016
Ótima referencia do estilo. Verfrissend heel licht citrus tintje. Mooi in balans tussen frisheid drinkbaarheid en carbonatie. Ook een bepaalde romigheid. Heerlijk drinkbaar.

330 ml bottle. Pours a clear gold with light head. Aromas of grain, honey, and wet cardboard with a little white pepper. Flavors of same with additional grassy/spicy noble hops. Tastes like a Pils.

BeErikS (40) - TAIWAN - MAR 3, 2016
Pours crystal clear golden with a moderate bubbly head that quickly dissipates to a white ring and thin white film that stays until the end. Sweet bready malt dominates the nose with a hint of herbal and floral hops in the background. Pleasantly sweet and crisp, very well balanced. Almost has a candy or bubble gum sweetness but in no way is it cloying as the overall impression is light and crisp with a fairly dry and bitter finish. Carbonation is moderate to moderately high. Very drinkable session beer.
