A Kölsch, pretty much like al the others. Malty flavour, slightly hopped, light and refreshing with a fainty fruitiness to it. My favourite style when i’m in the region.

Poured at the brewery on a glorious August afternoon. Crystall clear appearance with white foamy head. Clean Pilsner palate with very mild Mittelfrüh hop bitterness. Perfect clean aftertaste with hints of citrus at the finish. Well worth the journey

The aroma has a bit of bran (like cereal notes). The taste is malt forward, but it lacks a complexity that I was hoping for... the finish is mostly clean with a light crispness. Overall, it’s really forgettable and not my favorite.

Odd, skunky aroma. Sweet, sticky. Can’t see it due to having it from the bottle on the train. So much for proper glaasware.

To someone brought up on dour British lager, any interesting nuance in style is usually a good thing. Like your bog standard UK brews, I think Kolsch is a beer to sup nice and cold on a sunny day, rather than to sip gently and analyse every aspect of its taste. In that context, this is really good. It’s crisp and drinkable, with tangy malt and fruit flavours alongside a grassy nose. Not too light, not too carbonated. No head whatsoever from my bottle, but it’s a healthy looking clear straw colour. Liked it.

Reviewed from notes. This was poured into a stange. The appearance was a golden yellow color with a half finger white foamy head that dissipated within less than a minute. Barely any lacing was there. The smell had some light sweet fruits with a gentle balance from the hops. The taste was sweet and light. On the palate, this one sat pretty light and came across pretty sessionable. Carbonation was there but not overbearing. Overall, nice Kolsch that I would have again.

Bottle. Pale yellow pour with a frothy head. Herbal notes, light bitterness, cereal and some green grass.
