Fin knäckighet, lite cola, lite unket källare. Lagerjäst? Inte så tydlig humle som jag önskade. Men ändå en bra köslch! Bättre än lager helt klart. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured from bottle, deep golden with medium head that settles quickly. Aroma mild with notes of hay/grass. Taste a little more "rustic" toast, hay and herbs. Some bitterness in the finish.

Aroma: esters, herbs. Appearance: clear straw color, nice white head. Taste: low bitterness (herbs), herbal and floral notes, some malty backbone (thin), quite empty and dry. Palate: low body and medium carbonation, bitter finish. Overall: Not so bad, but bland and plain.

Aroma de grãos fermentados com leve retrogosto metálico. Cor dourada com espuma baixa e duradoura. Refrescante!

On cask @ Früh am Dom. Clear pale yellow with a medium dimishing white head and little lacing. Aroma is herbal with light fruitiness, biscuity malt, light citrus and metallic notes. Taste is also quite herbal with light fruitiness, cereals, light cereals notes and metallic presence. Medium body (a tad heavy for the style), moderate carbonation. Not super refined. Not horrible, but a bit metallic and it suffered a lot from the comparison with the incredible Päffgen Kölsch I had just before.

(Bottle) From State Line Liquors, MD. Nearly all Kolsch’s taste more or less similar to me. This one I think I liked slightly less than average, but I still enjoyed it. It was perhaps a tiny bit too heavy for me, which was odd because of the low-ish alcohol content. Malt had a slight sourness to it, which I disliked, but it was only slight. Nice hops...moderate bitterness, and the nature of the bitterness I found very enjoyable. Would drink again and wouldn’t be a bad choice if I wanted this style of beer and no others were available.

On tap at Fruh. Blond pour with white head. Aroma is metallic and fermented grain. Taste is grainy and caramel. Palate is too heavy and sticky for the style. Disapointing.

UPDATED: DEC 15, 2014 500ml bottle served in a Pilsen glass. A: Pours a pale and very clear yellow color forming a medium, bubbled and very aired white head that dissipates quickly leaving only few spotty lacings in the glass S: Very grainy as expected. Strong notes of sweet malts and bready yeasts. Liquid bread. Very crispy. Earthy yeasts and some flowery hops in the end T: Follows the nose. Slightly sweet upfront. Strong notes of sweet malts. Very bready and crispy. In overall, a dry taste followed by a light hops bitterness M: Light body and medium carbonation. Crispy malty aftertaste O: Quite drinkable. Real German stuff... Soft aromas of grain, fruit, and hints of sulfur. A clear straw hue with a non-lasting white head and moderate lacing. The taste is a nice blend of soft malt and subtle fruit flavors. Medium-light body and moderate carbonation. smooth mouthfeel - dry finish.Overall, one of the better Kolsch’s I’ve sampled.
